I don't know what some of you guys were expecting. It was obvious that they were gonna stay away from the whole supernatural thing. If you want supernatural go watch the original or better yet youtube the game cutscenes.

It struck me as being like a generic syfy channel original movie. I'll give it a few episodes because I'm guessing they're going to take some time setting the table, but nothing about this one really screamed Mortal Kombat to me.

Like I said, the first two games are basically bloodsport/enter the dragon and bloodsport/enter the dragon at night, which is plenty of entertaining material without getting too supernatural. A mortal kombat miniseries only needs to be two or three notches above a godfrey ho flick to feel appropriate, so why they had to start off with a really generic shootout is beyond me

How can you do mortal kombat without the supernatural? The movie series was as not-supernatural as it gets for a lightning god, icemancer, whatever scorpion is, fucking robots, goro, shang tsung, etc.

And a typical shootout =/= mortal kombat.

This just took off and all movies/series start out somewhat like this in order to set up a plot. So I think giving this the benefit of the doubt at this stage is required. I'm just hoping for some epic rivalries and some god dammed super fucking natural ice coming out of sub-zero.

To be honest, I wouldn't be mad if liu kang never showed up. He always struck me as the most boring part of the mortal kombat storyline.

Not sure why people were expecting some badass shit in the first episode. That stuff always happens in the second episode.

I enjoy it aswell, obviously it wasn't MK the way we know it, but there were quite a few things that hinted it. Like Kano's (future) eye, Sektor's mask..and yeah as most people said: it's the first episode, so just wait and enjoy, it's free anyways.

Too short, plus started off with all the characters no one likesssssss.
Saw that YT rated it PG; I was like this is going to suck, then they said fuck, and then they did a head shot.. so I guess it's ok.

It was decent, after all it is just a webisode, and it was pretty good for what it was.. hopefully the rest will be as good / better.

Pretty good start for a more realistic MK. Enjoyed the first ep, albeit a bit short. I wasn't expecting it to stay true at all to the original work. Even if it turns out to be mainly a cop-detective type show, it will still be pretty good anyway. Fanboys need to disassociate it with MK in general I think.

Pretty good. I'd prefer a weekly webisode I can see strait through then watching shitty commercials. If it catches some buzz I hope they greenlite a MK movie

Also I like the more realistic aspect. It's easier to work a show and adds some drama. Kinda like Mortal Kombat: CSI
