P90X - Testimonials of the BG Kind

So, I was going to start a new thread for this. I have not purchased this program yet but I have researched it for awhile now and seen some nice transformations on Youtube. Have any of you done this program, do you have any pictures of your transformation? I am not going to question if it works or not because seeing a brief excerpts from some of the videos, it is basically exercises we would do in Elementary School and most of us were fit as kids and loved Gym.

Anyone on BG have any testimonies to share with me and anyone else who is interested?

My roommate is on the 2nd week of doing this, meanwhile, I've been lifting regularly (split workout, 4 days a week). He likes it so far, but I personally enjoy going to the gym because I can play basketball beforehand, and I hate the damn videos...

Also, you can find the entire dvd's online through torrents, I think. You will need free weights and I think push-up bars.

Gave Ab Ripper a try (dl that shit), it gave me the best results than any other routine. I'm not going to say I'm jacked or look like Bruce Lee but they are toned, just like I wanted.

Rapid Share > DL for free lol. It's good, but like most people say you need to be motivated in order to do it.

P90x is great but I also like the gym setting more. Working out isn't just about working out for me, it's a mental break as well and I can't do that in my house.

is it a light carb type diet? i never actually got into p90x but i DL'd insanity for my big sister, and she's lost about 10 lbs so far in a period of 3 weeks.

i was 426 lbs, but i lost 180 of it by normal exercise, and dieting in approx 4-5 months? no subway diet for me, but i ended up keeping most of my muscle mass after doing a ton of resistance/weight lifting after my 1st 100 lb loss. i never needed p90 or whatever since i had an LA fitness membership, but if your time is limited, i cant see it NOT working f you follow through 110%

I just dl'd and did the ab ripper x. It was kind of difficult but not as hard as I figured it would be considering it being my first time though I guess we will see how I feel tomorrow. It does beat doing strait situps and/or those bicycle ones since it mixes up the exercises and avoids some lower back pain I can get doing situps.

This, seriously. Used it for 3 and a half months (Mid june to early oct) between 11th and 12 grade summer.

Stopped using it as often when I first got ffxi.

Only using it for 3 and a half months, I had a 6pac, I don't have results pics of when i was using it, but this pic was taken maybe 6 months after I stopped using it.

one thing to note though, the dvd that it came with I did one time as it was done on the dvd. Next day I doubled it, kept that for a few weeks and eventually tripled the video, so I went pretty hardcore on it to get my results. Spent no more than 30-45 mins on it though, every other day.

p90x isn't so much about the exercises as it is the diet. At first I didn't follow the diet; just tried to eat a small meal every 3-4 hours. While I did get great results, I wanted to push myself harder so I decided to follow the diet plan, and that is when I started to get exceptional results.

I also want to remind you this isn't for the weak of will. At first I had a friend who I did this with, and he only lasted two weeks. Constantly complained about feeling physically tired and 'weak'; and he eventually just gave up. Which sucked for me, its kind of boring doing this by yourself. But I loved my results and kept with it.

By the way the hardest part in the whole thing was giving up sugar completely. Coffee just doesn't taste the same. :\
