the options were either kaces withdraws his bot from that particular server, or everyone gets kaces bot (again, assuming this person can make good on their threat, which is pretty unlikely)

More people using bots = more fair regardless of how good any bot is, 50 botters with packet vs 50 botters with wizbot and there isnt much difference. This could actually be interesting if literally every single person on the server downloaded it. But they won't so no difference shall be noticed.

Afaik Melons is reverse engineered from arenz and a linked camping feature added(?).

I very much doubt releasing a free version of the packet bots will make any difference on either Cerberus or Leviathan since both are ahead of the botting curve compared to most other servers, both in sheer numbers and organisation/implementation.
