Everyone has been talking about the Adam tablet from Notion Ink with it's dual display design, rotating camera, and Android. Lately however we've been hearing talks of dreaded delays on the device, fortunately Notion Ink has released a statement today keeping everyone posted on their progress. It turns out that they are completely on track, well kind of. Notion Ink just received the last of the money they need from investors to really take off, and are still scheduled for the original release date (however they do not mean a global launch). Chances are the U.S will not be seeing the device on the original launch day but all hope is not lost on the device.

Notion Ink has also released info on the possibility of releasing multiple versions of the tablet. One option would be a single LCD display without the option of switching to Pixel Qi to reduce price on the tablet. They have also been evaluating another platform which would be more battery efficient, and may give consumers a choice between the two of them as well.

We have done some good work to get the devices out at yet more aggressive price which we were aiming for. There is a final word on 2 variants of the device, one cheaper normal LCD version and other with dual display PQ version. Another update is that we have evaluated another platform, which is proving to be extremely efficient on battery and much cheaper as well. So now you might be able to choose among the HW platforms as well (but here is a might in this line).
They are also about to release the SDK for the Adam tablet so developers can get to app creating for all of you out there looking to get in on the design fun. Lastly they wanted to add that they have been working on a way to have the best e-mail possible on this device and are so proud of what they have come up with they are saying it could be a difference maker in your tablet purchasing.
