Because having a job at capped level, and having access to one of the best zerg weapons in the game WITHOUT paying 45m is useless right?
For all the zerg situations that you could use it for, and perform well without the need of forking over your liver, leg, and/or kidneys to the person to get it.
that or be one of the few people to burn their luck getting one to drop when they should have been buying lotto tickets this entire time.
Can expect to see Stone V/Water V at best.
I truely hope that SE puts in resistances to the new HNMs and such, like they did to AV to prevent zerging. In my eyes, most things have become too easy and require less and less skill.
inb4 flames!
And Burst II/Freeze II need not worry, at least untill T-V Thunder and Blizzard are released.
Is there anything in the .dats about T3 AM? curious because I remember watching a video and I thought I saw something that was so spectacular and amazing from a lightning animation that I fell to my knees and cried.
SE nerfing one mob because they want players to figure out how to unlock his weaknesses rather just zerg him to death does not mean the will put an end to all zerging, there are certain mobs in the game that already resist soul eater(T2 T3 Einherjar mobs/bosses after a few hits, the crystal in ACP) but its not like we are going to start going around and zerging everything in the game, altho it would be nice to see a 30 second Tiamat, Khimaira, Cerberus, Fafnir, Nidhogg, KB, and Aspid![]()
see, thats all stuff that got into the game after drk zerging became a common methode and it got taken care of (is there any example for "important" stuff where this doesnt apply...?)
ofc one could argue that now already drk zerging is not really needed anymore, but it will be even less later on, driving drk zerging into needlessness (if thats what SE wishes)
If BLM gets teir V, I'd assume pup would also get them as well, though probably at a couple levels later. Pup better damned well get all the teir V spells to though, none of this blizzard V only bullshit like it is with bliz IV currently. Meteor might also be fun, if you can force it with say, ice, ice, dark or wind, or whatever maneuver combo. :O
Maybe? ;;
Fairly certain that the VNMs can be zerged, just not common to see because of the way you have to handle a few of them, I'm also aware that the Aptent NMs can be zerged as well, as that's usually how you take down a few of the ones that can be a bit troublesome to manage, and DRK zerg isn't the only method of zerging, their are also straight TP burn zergs, which is what people use in Einherjar to bypass the mobs resistance to Soul Eater.
But we'll see with Abyssea if any mobs with High Regen/Unmanageable TP Regain/Potential to Single Target 1shot appear in the game, and if players attempt to go kraken eater on the bitch.
Thunder IV will come for sure with the new cap. If SE decides to take it further with Tier V is anyone's guess but considering Spiritreaver is supposed to somewhat mimic BLM I'd say yes.
Meteor will most likely stay BLM only and I wouldn't really like an AoE spell on my puppet.
I think those puppets need AI fixes before anything new is added. Not sure if those will ever come though.
Well, that's the reason why I didn't say force it with ice, or triple ice manaeuvers, but require two ice and perhaps dark or another element up for meteor. (except water, that would be bad.) That way we can force meteor if we want to say, hit a single target with nonelemental damage (or maybe dark? gogo AV specuation), and it's safe to do so, or if we just want to mess around farming a bunch of weak mobs. This way you can also do meteor with triple ice if you do dark ice ice, then deploy to start casting, and put up a third ice after for max damage, but because you won't have condenser, reaching this max 3 ice maneuvers would only work with:
A)2 hour to prevent overload
B)kenkonken suppresion
C)automaton cooled down for 3 minutes without ice maneuvers, to prevent overload
D)risk overload and try anyways, and maybe succeed
Either way, it would be fun being able to cast an AoE spell at will, but if it was the default spell, that would be pretty bad indeed.
Has anyone poked around to see if the zone data was included with this update? I'm not sure where most of the files that were updated are located. Probably in the main ROM folder I suppose.
For reference the original area data for konshtat, tahrongi, and la theine range from 11~14mb each so if they use a new file they're probably about the same size.
Any new campaign items identified yet or am I asking too early?
If I might surmise the last few pages of speculation...
