It's kinda hard to even go back to the old MK style game, it just doesn't feel right in full 3D graphics. To me, the motion capturing of live actors was part of the fun.

WB dumping the IP off to an unknown studio sure sounds like waves are being riden. Not to mention the whole "back to 2D" thing.

You mean like Street Figher EX / EX2 then SF4? That seemed to work pretty well.

I'm not saying the game will be bad, but how many unknown publishers have ever made a fighting game that anyone's ever cared about?

Gotta start somewhere. At least NetherRealm is working with an established product, so they can focus on the engine and balance issues and not worry about character design as much.

This looks amazing to me. Everything had MKII written all over it. If only arcades were as slamming as they were when I was young, because nothing could compare to you owning a fucktard and showing every over-looker a brutal fatality (in which you previously looked up @ Books-A-Million).

Also the website TRMK.org saying that a Mortal Kombat HD remix is in the works and is to be released in November of this year on PS3. It'll include a complete remake of MK1, MK2 & UMK3 with all new artwork and whatnot. Apparently the website is very creditable so definately looking foward to this.
