Extremely easy. We had 8, but it could probably be done with less. Just keep mages out of range of Roar and make sure everyone is /NIN and a stack or two of Holy Waters in case, normal hits seem to have en-doom.

Doom procs on normal hits also reset hate, so make sure to bring at least 2, or to be safe 3 DD, else it will go after mages really fast and it might mess you up.

Ya I cant stop touching myself over it. I still find it hilarious that random standing NMs in abyssea drop weapons as powerful (or damn close) to the original relics.

Not to mention the most important part: They look badass.

How much were its normal attacks etc hitting you for, Neo? Granted your Paladin gear is much beyond mine, but just wanted an idea. Competition on this is sure to be immense in a linkshell group so was wondering how low it could be lowmanned.

i believe the original drop post has a ss of rdm/sch rdm/sch blm killing it (if your talking about ouryu in abyssea)

Hitting for barely anything. 60-70 per attack. Orge blast for couple hundred.

That's with a decent MDB build and capped MDT however.

An earth resist build would net far superior damage reduction.

Rdm or two with earth resist build, dispeling stoneskin, keeping DOT on it, and having a blm or 2 nuking it would kill it in about 30min id say depending on number of nukers and skill.

RDM/SCH could probably solo it with ~150k of AH meds and ~1500 cruor of abyssea meds in 45 min or so. Just a thought, based on experience. I'm sure someone will come in bitching about hi-elixirs and wasting cruor, but honestly, if it saves you bringing a group it's really not that expensive.

Definitely duoable with 2 RDM/SCH and 2hrs + abyssea meds, biggest concern is flipping between dark arts and light arts.. dark arts cure4s during mighty strikes can fuck you over fast. Chainspell drain takes off about 15%, I'd have both RDMs do it at 25% to knock off the nasty part while keeping themselves alive indefinitely. For what little it's worth, 0/2 dagger with TH4.

another question is how does it compare offhanding with mandau in main?

also, how much resist in gear would you guys recommend for the dragon if you were going down that route? assume a well geared/merited WHM + carols
