Honestly, I feel it was killable at 75 with PD. I never personally tried, and not to bash on other shells, but top shells are still failing 3+ times in a row at 80, perhaps the same ones that tried at 75. Would it be harder at 75? Of course, but I still think it was entirely doable with a small bit of luck and 2 PDs per party.

Also, I feel it's killable at 80 without PD, though it'd be flat out stupid to risk it and try, but we've definitely had a couple kills where PD literally did close to nothing for us, looking through logs.

All zergs aren't massively gear dependant since you will cap haste using swift belt and full perle with a properly optimized alliance. AV zerg now involves much more in terms of execution than previous zergs did, but it is by no means complex. The use of vent and the optimal alliance setup contributed far more to resonance's kills than our DD's gear.

That said, a lot of linkshells who have attempted and failed at this are using a less than optimal alliance setup and probably leave a lot to be desired in terms of execution.

It didn't happen because it wasn't coordinated well enough. It was still entirely possible.. the same group at level 75 needs to pull 16% damage through optimization to win vs level 80 since the only major difference is lvcorrect. It's not some massive insurmountable sum.. but it would require mostly relic DD, while 80 requires nothing special beyond organization.

This really is some stupid shit. AV was killable at 75 with PD, this isn't news. Poor execution, shit leadership, and the only shells large enough to have taken on the task being full of relic DDs wearing askar hands and feet are not part of the difficulty of zerging AV with PD, they're part of the problem that is the fact that most large shells are 95% filler (where filler is defined as 13 year olds with 2 or more x's in their name).

20 filler, 4 intelligent players, and 2 leaders didn't cut it at 75, it works at 80. Doesn't mean AV wasn't killable just means that to be killed at 75 you need to get Despain to recruit some of his rl friends to the game or convince intelligent people who don't want to camp HNM that shells with 25+ members are a really good idea.

We didnt bother to try it at 75 because, as most people probably thought, 80 was just around the corner. But I'm pretty sure we could have taken it with our current strategy at 75, we just never tried. Over 80%(?) of our AVs have died at or before PD wears, at 75 we would have spilled over into the 2nd PD.

And there is still part of the strategy that people ignore/dont understand, but that wont be discussed yet.
