I think it also puts pressure on ND to join the Big Ten, considering the likely buffed Big Ten revenues might compete with ND's independent revenue. I think a great idea would be for NBC just to pick up Big Ten games if something like that happened.

I saw this stat on TV contracts for conferences. I assume it means all sports combined. I figured the Big Ten and SEC would be on top, but not by such a large margin.

Big 12 $78 million

Pac 10 will be moving up in a large way if they get to 16 teams. Next year they get a new TV deal which will likely be big, as well as having a significant portion of the Western US college sports market. It will be hard to top the Big 10 with their expansion as well as the "football is religion" SEC.
