This company BrewDog are kinda exploding in UK at the moment. Just opened a bar in Glasgow, every single beer is unique, and unlike most things I've tried. Their flagship is Punk IPA, easily one of my favourite drinks.

http://www.brewdog.com/sink_the_bismark They sell this in like 50ml shots, its great.

Highly recommend trying them if you can

Not beer, but I snagged some Woodchuck Pumpkin Reserve chilling in my fridge, can't wait to try one tonight.

Beer served as a shot makes me go '...wut?'

Had a few beers these last two days.

A few La Chouffe, one Malheur 10 and a Houblon Chouffe. That was lunch yesterday.

Today had a Kriek Mariage Parfait (2008 bottle), wasn't bad at all (usually I'm not a Kriek fan).

aspiring beer aficionados, here's a sleeper masterpiece. around $8~10 a bottle, this is close to what $20~30/bottle hot shot beers taste like. pick some up if you see it.

Gonna make a beer run soon (just for myself) and need a good, nonfilling beer since I'm going to have 2 pizzas and a bunch of wings as well.

I was thinking Smithwicks. My selection is somewhat limited at this liquor store, normally I'd grab 60minute, but I want something to wash down my 80,000 calories during football. Thoughts?

    Go big or go home.

Seriously though, the above is an oatmeal stout. Definitely not a feasting beer. Belgian Whites are pretty light.

    +1'ing Ganondorf.

While I love Belgian whites in general, they are my #1 pick when watching soccer, which is a common situation here in Spain. Your main focus is the match you are watching and you want to keep it like that, so a somewhat light and refreshing beer to go along with the food is great. Shit is good and doesnt need as much attention as other good beers.

Any good Pilsner I'd say. Without knowing your area I'd have to suggest Victory Prima Pils or even the Alpine Springs from Sam Adams, Found that to be a pretty lighter beer (Since it's a spring seasonal and all) should also be super fresh at this date.

My absolute favorite session beer. Not filling, but full-bodied with the kind of creamy texture that you only get with a nitro-beer.

If you do decide to get it, then it is worth saying that you DO NOT drink it out of the can. You take a glass, open the can, and invert it into the glass. You'll start out with a glass of foam, but that is normal. Now you just wait 20-30 seconds while you watch your beer rain down into the glass and give you the perfect amount of head.

Any of you fans of Sierra Nevada? I think their Pale Ale is my favorite.

Local bar in my area has roughly 600 different micro brews to choose from. It is pretty damn impressive.

Central Philadelphia is pretty good for Micro Brew bars. Unfortunately it's also turning into a smelly hipster town. Still pretty awesome if you hit it at the right time of year,

On a side note, can anyone recommend a good Chocolate or Coffe stout? There's a small brewery chain in the area (Triumph) that makes an awesome Coffe&Cream Stout, but they don't bottle it.
