I've yet to come across any gluten free porters/stouts. There is a legit Belgian gluten free beer called Brunehault I believe, Actually pretty delicious. The New Planet stuff is OK if you get the right one. Their Pale wasn't bad but the light and the raspberry were horrid.
Cider wise, Angry orchard taste just like Mott's apple juice to me. Personally I prefer a much more dry cider with a crisp champagne quality to it like cidre DuPont.
Now time to pour another pull of Boulder Shake off the kegerator. Beer is so damn good.

While not beer, I need some advice. I've received a $100 gift card for nakedwines.com and have no idea what to get. I mostly dislike wine as it any/all usually gives me a headache no matter the amount I drink. However, I did mix white zin with some sake a few times and did enjoy that! Also, my wife occasionally gets a carbonated moscato which I don't mind either. Any suggestions on what to get?

Try a Cabernet. I don't like reds but I like not super cheap Cabernet's. Found a nice $25 bottle I like, Clos du Bois.

If not, a not cheap bottle of moscato is nice. As long as you're not eating anything with a heavy flavor, or else you won't taste jack.

Get a decent bottle of Barolo, red Italian wine.

I'm not a big wine guy either, but a Barolo is very good chilled.

Be on the look out for their Strawator on draft, It's a mix of their Andy Gator + Strawberry ale. It's about 8% and tastes just like a fuller bodied version of the strawberry. So damn good.

In Gainesville, FL there is a local brewery called Swamp Head. Some of the best beers I have had. Stumpknocker, Cottonmouth, and Midnight Oil.

    Hijacking for wine justice.

Any one really into wines and can recommend me some cabernets to try? Just discovered this wine store called Total Wines and more...with such a variety I think I found a new hobby lol.

    Beer! Glorious Beer Thread!

Well a good expensive bottle of cab would be opus one or Jordan, both delicious. If your wallets tight I would suggest Hahn, I haven't had their cab but their merlot and Pinot Nior are excellent. The Jordan at a liquor store is about 50 a bottle, opus is around 80 and the Hahn is about 20.

Its hands down one of my favorite spring/summer beers, Bells Brewery in MI, they have it in most bars in Chicago as well. Don't know about the rest of the Midwest though.

Do any of you guys know of a place I can get Steam Whistle shipped to the US? I know it's not imported and have looked all over the place online with no luck. My best friend and executive chef is turning 35 this weekend and is from Canada. He always talks about this beer being his favorite and how he can't get it here. Money isn't too much of an object at this point, I'm willing to pay for shipping. I live in metro Detroit, if it makes a difference.
