Yikes; report back how it is, most of the charm in that beer is how the hops meld with the fruit. I was bummed when DFH took it away; it was one of the first IPAs that I ever had, along with Nugget Nectar(even though it's technically an amber ale).

Westbrook always makes solid stuff; I've had some of their beers a few times in trades.

It was quite tasty. It wasn't aggressively hoppy, with a hint of apricot. Speaking of Westbrook, they make one of my favorite IPAs Citrus Ninja. I bought 4 bottles of it when it was available last summer. My wife really enjoys their gose, and she's not a huge fan of beer as a whole.

Speaking of 2016 releases, here's a list of brewery releases: https://beertalkblog.wordpress.com/2...ase-calendars/

I have to try and get my hands on some Hopslam.

    That link is great.

I'm going to have to keep an eye out for Mosaic Promise starting in April. I picked up two 6-packs of that last year; it was delicious.

Jesus Christ; if any of you guys loved drinking Nestle's Strawberry Quik has a kid, buy some of DuClaw's new seasonal. It is adult strawberry milk. It's called Quick Start my Heart or something, I only got a single bottle since I had extremely low expectations but it's fucking great. Between this and their peanut butter porter, sweet baby Jesus(pun intended).

It's only harder to get because Weyerbacher isn't as big as Founders and doesn't have nearly as large a distribution chain. They're both fucking stellar.

I can definitely agree with that. Weyerbacher is the truth though. Everything I've had from them is stellar. The only one that seemed off (and it's probably just me) was their Belgian Imperial Stout. Blithering Idiot is an A+ barleywine.

Had this one a couple weeks ago, which reminded me of this thread. Years ago, I came here for advice about these white beers that despite being mild were really tasty and refreshing for me. And this brand was one of them. Also, still havent found Allagash, which was another one... here its difficult to find american beer, what a pity. May have to order some or otherwise I cant keep up with you guys at all.

My market just got Hopslam in a few days ago. Only in cans though. Is this a new thing?

$21 for a six pack... More expensive than previous years for me.

I did not care for Hopslam this year and all the places around me raised their price from last year.

Last weekend I realized I either need to stop buying beer or get more friends.

I'd recommend drinking that Goose Island Bourbon County Coffee stout fresh, Aging it turns it into a shell of its glory. Coffee fades way too fast!

That was the Barleywine in the picture, drank one I picked up and it was part of the bad batch this year, assume this one is as well since I got them together, I am in no rush to taste that awfulness again. GI handled it well, 5 minute call and got refunds for the 3 bottles.

I'd love to get my cellar collection down to that size again. It's even worse because I'm away for half of this year so unless I have my wife ship beer to me the whole thing is just sitting and waiting. :/

ftfy, but yeah, my collection was down to just a few bottles until a buddy of mine gave me his entire collection and now I'm back up to 8 cases. The only bad thing is he kept them in somewhat shitty conditions, so while there are tons of gems in his collection, every now and again I open a beer that should be wonderful and just...isn't

You shouldn't be adding things to a "collection" that don't age well

If I had even a shred of self control I probably wouldn't.
