want 1TB HDD
6GB ram, would like 12 but cutting it to 6 to save a little and put it to a gpu and i've had a dual monitor set up before, well kinda. It wasn't hard so i shouldn't have trouble with that.

I found http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103046 heat-sink on new egg its got a copper base. like you suggested. I couldn't seem to find any with a ball bearing but they are cheep enough as long as they last a year or two not to big of a deal.
As for the gpu are you suggesting something like: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-490-_-Product
also for the motherboard i found a cupple options liked you described:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128425
this one supports usb 3.0 and is sata 3.0 would it be a good choice? it has good reviews and is gigabite.
That motherboard is LGA1156, which will only fit i5s and low end i7s. You're going to need a motherboard with an LGA1366 socket to run your i7.
That is the kind of GPU I'd recommend, personally. I've also heard some good things about the Nvidia 2 series, but I haven't tried any of them myself.
As for the fan, it looks good. But like I mentioned earlier, I am far and away no expert on heat sinks. Hopefully someone else will get a chance to take a look at that to make sure it's what you're going to want.
Have you ever overclocked before? You don't seem to have much knowledge on computers, maybe it's better off you don't overclock, don't buy a heatsink, and buy a pc that will just run fine at stock?
You have to match your cpu to your mobo, thats been mentioned about 10 times so far. Grab an i7 930, a compatable mobo, get a nvidia gtx480 or something, 6gb of ram and a 750watt psu, and then you'll have a great pc for the next 3-4months.
No i've never over clocked, but i've read up on it and have a friend that has before that will help me if needed.
My friend is a novice also although he just build his own system. He will be there for the actual build, although he's not good on picking the parts most of it was recycled except mobo, tower and processor

i wanna throw a chair across the room.
Why the shit do u need a 200 dollar case? And a full tower one at that? not like your raiding it up and adding 8 Hard drives in it. Go with a Mid Tower around 100 bucks.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119197
^ same thing sept mid tower and 100 dollars cheaper ffs.
and the link u have isn't an Antec its a coolermaster. Either way take a look at the case i posted.
Case: Will vouch for the case Shidobu suggested. I have it and love it. Everything fits and theres still room to breathe.
CPU: You can buy that CPU for 200 if theres a Microcenter near you.
HDD: I'm almost certain you can get 7200RPM 1TB drive for quite a bit cheaper. Like 30 dollars less. Buy OEM. Shit works - you dont need retail boxing.
PSU: You do NOT need 850W. I'd say for the GPU you picked even 650W is fine.
Mouse/Keyboard: This is personal preference, but I wouldn't spend more than 50 on a mouse.
Cooling: If you're spending 90 dollars on cooling - at least do water. Get the H50 Corsair pump and call it a day.
I would love liquid cooling but I'm nervous about doing it on my first build. Is it difficult? I downgraded to the tower you recommended. It looks good and is half the price, cant beat that (as long as your sure i wont need a full size case). Also i live in a small town the biggest technology dealer around here is best buy/radio shack. I was suggested to go with a 800+ psu just to make sure I had enough power but if someone can confirm that 650w is also fine I'll gladly go with that. With the HDD i looked around Newegg and didn't really see any 1tb's below 89
lol for that gpu you don't need a bigger psu. Read the specifications on the card if you are unsure.
OP, you are going to fuck up your build if you do it yourself.
