Algeria was hardly playing to win, of course they wanted to but they were not getting good, consistent penetration into the box. Yebda literally had 4-5 shots outside of the box with one off by a yard. That being said, US leaves a window on goal outside of the box, but I would almost prefer that over consistent penetration into the danger zone. Near the end Algeria was fowling like crazy, I can only assume to keep the tie which is a silly attitude, better than flat out giving up but still bad.

Anyways, thanks for first win and/or point in last match of group play in a long time, first top of the group finish since 1930, and first clean slate in a long time of World Cup play. US deserved to win that game and good to see they did.
