There's no pressure on the US anymore. They had a goal and achieved it. Exceeded it actually with taking first in the group for the first time in history. If you told me before the WC that the US would go undefeated and take first in the group I would have bitch slapped you then laughed.

Idk, I would still like to see them collect another win against one of the big boys like they did against Spain. Wishful thinking obviously, but they can play with anyone. Wanna see them take the next step and keep promoting soccer in the US. Thank god they won today and the games have been pretty exciting.

Germany is overrated honestly, they don't have the same level of players as they have had in previous tournaments and you'll see this in the afternoon game. Main thing they have going for them is that they used the Jabulani ball in the Bundesliga so the majority of their players are used to it.

I totally disagree with this. I know Australia isn't much, but Germany ripped them to absolute shreds in that first game, and then took their foot off the gas a bit. I'd be suprised if they didn't advance quite far, but who knows in this tournament. Man..... I'm still kinda shocked over that goal. What a fantastic ending after the screw job the US has been getting!!! Today has been a long time coming. My wife bought me awesome tickets to the cup qualifier against Trinidad & Tobago as a wedding gift, like two years ago... hard to believe this is even the same tournament.

Perhaps you're the casual fan if you don't think their current level of players at least match the WC 2002-Euro 2008 era dittos. They have the best youth in Europe.
