Perhaps you're the casual fan if you don't think their current level of players at least match the WC 2002-Euro 2008 era dittos. They have the best youth in Europe.

Jesus, it's not like I said Germany sucked... they are still one of the better teams in this tournament and I predicted them to go fairly far. But if you're honestly going to compare them to the 2002 side which lost in the World Cup final then that's a joke. Neuer isn't even half the keeper Kahn was in his prime, Ballack was a beast back then and was far more physical than Ozil ever will be, and Linke was better than either Mertesacker or Friedrich. And I didn't even mention Bernd Schneider lol.

Idk man, the coach from that team said that they are better now than they were then. I'd be inclined to think he knew that team pretty well too.
