This 100%. Until we have an elite player making headlines in Europe, I don't think anyone will care aside from those that already do.

MLS is never going to get the kind of talent it needs to bring it to the forefront. While it's admirable that Donovan came back home to play in MLS, I really think we need to be sending our HQ players over seas to get better exposure talent and media wise.

In regards to the MLS... we can see the best baseball, American football, basketball, and hockey players in the U.S. on a daily basis. Why would we want to go to a half empty MLS stadium with no atmosphere except for crying kids and family to watch 3rd rate athletes for their sport? There's a couple cities where it's successful but many where it isn't.

As Volcanic mentioned, these guys have plenty of shit to talk about between Football, Basketball, and Baseball. Why would they waste time on sports the majority of the American public sees as inferior?

It's not that they don't talk about it, it's that they talk shit when they talk about it. Or they act like experts on the subject when they know absolute dick. They disrespect the fuck out of the world's #1 sport. When you're a "sports analyst," that's stupid. No way around it.
