This is kind of a random observation from not a noob but not a super experienced soccer watcher either...but to me it seemed like the US was losing a lot of jump balls and didn't maintain possession off of goal kicks very often at all. Was I seeing things or was this the case?

So i watched both Argentina and England today and i must say Messi looked in a different league to Rooney off their performances. You hear people who cant decide whose better when Messi looks just so much better its an easy choice for me. As much as i love Rooney (man united fan ) Messi is far superior.

Was getting a bit frustrated with US forwards. They don't seem to have the confidence to go at the defenders and create plays, they're relying a lot on long crosses and breakaways. England can create offense much more easily.

A lot of writers have been saying for weeks that if US wanted to compete in this game to just keep up with england and not get overconfident or get injured trying to make plays. We wanted at least a draw and we got it.

Only one game each lol, can't really make conclusions from that. Messi did look absolutely outstanding earlier though, no question who looked better out of just the first two games.

This was definitely the most exciting match so far, that was a lot of fun lol. Can't wait for some more of the big games coming up. I'm looking forward to Ivory Coast vs Portugal, tihnk they can definitely represent.
