It's true, Blanco can't play 90. I guess I would have liked to see him at the start so he could pace the game a bit, vs. coming in at the end for 20 min, although his slow ass speed certainly wasn't as big a factor at the end as it may have been at the start. That was a big game for them though, a win would have practically guarantee'd a spot in the knock outs seeing as France is probably going to run away with the 1 spot and it's gonna be between south africa and Mexico for the 2 spot. A battle of attrition with ties and shit against the home nation is not what they need.

I think Uruguay will end up first, France have been struggling recently and lost to China last week. Uruguay have Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez that's a hot strike force. I think it will be between France and Mexico for second but can easily see them not making it through.

I would enjoy this if it happened because I'm not a big fan of France, but you look at France's lineup and it's all big names. Henry didn't even crack the starting 11, and he's money.

France has huge names but the team is a freaking disaster - they've already named a new manager because Domenech is a retard. They were a mess in '06 before Zidane came on board to bail them out, they were a mess in Euro '08, and they needed a modern day hand of god play just to get into the tournament. I honestly will not be surprised at all if they don't get past the group stage but the draw between South Africa and Mexico certainly helps them because even if they lose today they'll still only be 1 point behind the second spot.
