can someone clarify why that is please.

Damn, that sucked.
That's fucked up as a goalie, substitute and try to stop a gol.
btw, watching a stream from work with no sound is surprisingly not bad compared to all the BUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR at home.
If this goes in then it's game over. Red card seemed a bit harsh though.
Wow I don't think I've ever seen a keeper get red carded.
Red card is because not only was it a violent foul, but the Uruguay dude was most likely going to score, thus the foul was considered unsportsmanlike.
i've seen dozens of red card on goalies, but that one was harsh.
Parreira (SA manager) is probably trying to minimize damage at this point. He's probably hoping Mexico will beat France, or tie in a best case scenario, that way SA would still have a chance by beating France by a 2-3 goal margin in their next game, pulling the miracle 2nd place advancement, provided Mexico beats Uruguay.
This guy #7 is shitty. He needs to be gone.
Btw, the goalie got a red card because from the referee point of view, he thought the goalie did a dangerous tackle toward the URU player.
You could clearly see the bottom of the goalie's clippers/shoes, which is a big no-no. Given the situation in which the foul ocurred (last man, on goal, etc.), red card is very justifiable.
3-0, added salt in wounds now lol
3-0. Bye South Africa. See you in 20 years.
All MX has to do is win their fucking games and that's it; no depending on what others do or grab the calculators bs. Tomorrow is FR, so they better deliver :U
See ya South Africa, take your damn horns with you.
Fucking shit. Nothing short of a miracle could qualify SA for the next round. Kinda feel bad for them, but better them than us, I suppose.
Fuck my brackets today too, gonna lose first place on bg one lol.
lol, salt on wound etc. Not like any should have expected RSA to not become the first host to not advance. The fact they were seeded was an insult to teams everywhere, ridiculous that they got it auto just because they were hosts. Some aspects of the world cup could clearly use some tweaking.
ah, thanks for that.
i've seen a bunch of times that the goalie + player pretty much smash into each other and nothing is called (like that one goal in the sui+spain game earlier).
then i see the NGA goalie just barely clip that guy's foot and gets red carded.
appreciate the clarification! <3
