WTB Old ass ATI video card, PCI-E

K, few changes and specifics. Maybe the card doesn't need to be that old, but the cheaper, the better!

It doesn't need S-video
*Needs VGA
Can be ATI or Nvidia

So if you have one of those cards that's just collecting dust, I'd rather try to buy it here first before newegg/ebay.

Needs VGA and S-Video! Since AGP is out of the question, I'm not sure what the earliest PCI-E cards were. I think they were the Radeon 9000 series, but if you have something collecting dust, I can maybe use it!

What exactly does "old ass" mean? If you're looking for bargain bin, you can buy an open box PCI-E card on NewEgg for less than $30 shipped.

Of course, S-Video may be a little tougher, but if you aren't using both ports simultaneously, you can get a VGA to S-Video adapter and be set.

Check for an all-in-wonder card, like a 9700 pro. They should be cheap (although they're not sold on sites like newegg anymore) and have both VGA and S-Video.


edit: crud, these are agp 8x. Still, if you have the bus type, it would suffice.

Why not use a coverter? You can use any card
