Hopefully the next few updates will be Job Adjustments and such.
They adjusted Shadowbind and Manifest/Acces as a sub job!
Theres them job Adjustments
According to SE, good enough =D!
Spoiler: show
I'm just hoping to see some real job adjustments for BLU, not just "New Spells!"
I think they'll either announce on patch day that Convert will be weakened or they decided to leave it as it is and see what happens.
The big question at this point is if Accession> Haste works but I'm going to assume yes. Triple recast won't make me change my mind about rdm/sch, I've dealt with it before as SCH and it really doesn't matter when you're hitting 5-6 people with it.
An extra charge as /sch would be nice indeed. Would give me more room for possible stratagem use.
Also they mentioned that they weren't planning on making a genkai for these level increases. I remember them saying there would be other requirements though.
The picture in the update is a BLM doing convert, no? I don't think convert for BLMs will be that game-breaking. They'll still only have access to Cure 3 to fix themselves up after a convert after all. A RDM/WHM has a divine seal Cure 4 to bring themselves to top HP and not waste MP, and RDM/other still has that Cure 4. A nearly dead BLM (from convert) is usually a dead BLM so the waste of MP curing themselves back to HP (or Sorc ring HP) is going to waste all the convert MP (unless it's a panic situation and last nuke). For WHM, I dunno, I think SCH will still be a stronger sub than gaining convert.
I think my point was that it still wasn't a 100% thing to do in this situation and therefore probably not as game-breaking as people are panicking about. NMs in Abyssea might not be very drainable after all.
Could be very handy for solo and small blm team crap though.
I thought /RDM was the default subjob for BLMs already anyways. Not a huge game change in that regards.
Mind, you I have to admit, I don't play mage jobs other than RDM and BLM very much and I've barely played in over a year so I can't really state on how things would affect other jobs with /RDM. SCH/RDM maybe? I don't even know the default subjob for SCH and I have it at 75 by pretending to be a WHM in a static party.
Most BLM though stay away from the undead, due to; cannot be slept, drained, usually has enhanced movement speed, bind is a crappy alternative to gain some resting time between nukes, gravity can only does so much of the work.
As for the mobs, I think only one mob we'd have to worry about this update is Iratham, because I don't think a mob that seems to have mechanical properties could be slept, the rest looks like something a BLM would be able to handle in a small team, without depending on pinning or taking advantage of pathing to make some room between you and said mob, however I assume that all these mobs would have enhanced movement speed anyways.
Elasmoth (Behemoth) could very well just be another KB or NQ Behe, which 3+ BLM could easily take it down, granted they have gaiters for better kiting when gravity wears off.
People seem to forget that in order to make verting even worth while you have to have at least a reasonably close HP/MP ratio.
Have fun building a vert set for smn/blm/whm, especially if you're a taru. Leaving yourself enough buffer MP to cure yourself after you equip HP gear, verting, then curing yourself again may not even be worth it. Subbed vert will not be nearly as game breaking as people are afraid it's going to be.
Will Composure stack with Accession? Like, Use composure and accession/haste or refresh... will this give everyone, or just the RDM, the extended spell time? Seems too good to be true D:
Composure is lvl 50
Hopefully they add a JA to BRD that can be paired with Pianisimo to make the spell AoE around the target you cast it on .. so bards can stop frantically running around..
I don't think Convert will change much for WHM, as I'm sure /SCHM will still be the default sub. /SCH by itself usually saves more MP than Convert would give. Light Arts is just awesome (albeit probably won't save quite as much MP as self-refresh and full-Convert would), and Hastega is too nice to give up. If its half-Convert, then /SCH will still be better for MP mangement.
I'm quite happy though, perhaps that will mean more people realize that a good WHM is still better than a RDM for healing in merits, even if it means being forced to merit as /RDM for convert...
MAB +30 and Enmity -20 from an ability with no real downside except that you have to remain behind the mob is a wee bit overpowered for BLM. They could just fix it so Innin works on Ninjutsu only, as per the description, but then you've still got 30% crit rates and enmity, which is overpowered in its own right.
