    such a thing as a PS3 to PS2 adapter?

so basically, a USB to Playstation 2 adapter?

I want to play using my PS3 fight stick on my PS2, but I'm thinking this is going to be impossible. all I can find are adapters that go the other way around, making a PS2 controller usable on your PS3.

I get the feeling this is a lost cause, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. is there such a thing, and if so, where can I get it?

That's the reverse, Atre. That is ps2 -> ps3 whereas he needs ps3 -> ps2. From what I have read, this is not possible, despite the PS2 having USB ports.

yeah that's the opposite of what I need. lame. I guess I could just buy a cheap PS2 fight stick but I doubt it would have awesome seimitsu buttons and sanwa joystick.

I really want to play 3rd strike, god damnit

It's possible, I made one myself.

Just need a micro-controller to interrupt the PS3 signal into PS2 format, which means coding it yourself.

No company makes them however, and practically speaking, it's cheaper to just mod a stick for PS2.

So you'd basically have to program a bluetooth receiver for your ps2?

No, well possible, you do it with a wired PS3 controller, such as a PS3 arcade stick you want to use on the PS2.

I'd recommend it anyways, there has never been an arcade perfect port of third strike(which is why the PCB still goes for $400+), so emulation of the arcade version is closest you can get.

Only thing nice about PS2 version is training mode
