None of my steam games are working...


They all worked fine, until I had to get a new HD for my comp. I dont understand how that affect stuff of this sort. Its annoying me to no end, I wanna play my empire total war dammit.


Empire will start and the cursor will come up, but there is no actual game screen, like it will stay on the screen I was on before I booted the game. Rome: Total War and its add-on won't play because I have directx 10 and not 9 (which I cant find for the life of me). Portal doesnt progress farther than the Valve intro screen.


Any ideas what may be happening?

Just to add; I'm getting no error codes whatsoever.

just try reinstalling them. Steamcloud usually saves the save files. if not just find your save files and copy them.
