I like the fact that he's wearing a mask and a hat. Two head equipment slots would be nice if they're going to have all these masks and stuff as equipment. Though hopefully we can turn visibility of them on and off.

I added the trailer(the full one) to the OP. There is also the UK version, but it seems to be the same(well, nothing new). (EDIT: Scratch that - there are several different language versions)

To think that some fags on this section thought the alpha version wasn't slow at all, when there are people who think that even the beta is slow.

Most likely two slots one being face, the other being head. I like having more slots, gives more options to tweak your setup and differentiate yourself from others.

Its not as fast as other games, its just faster than FFXI, and its actually NOT faster than FFXI if you count the fact that she's using a sword and board, which hits pretty fast anyway. Show me that rapid attack speed with a polearm or great axe, and I'll be sold.

Even the Alpha was faster than FFXI.

Really, you can't count the auto-attack speed as actions. Purely melee-wise, you do actions much slower than alpha...

Outside of latency issues yeah, anyone who finds it "slow" are still comparing it to action MMOs...which FFXIV is not trying to be obviously.

Actually, if the weapon attack speed stats are to be believed, the sword and all of the other weapons speeds are the same, except for H2H. H2H is marked as attack speed 2 whereas the rest are 1.

I wonder if attack speed will matter; I noticed a delay between attack input and activation that had nothing to do with the stamina gauge. Granted, there had to be SOME anti-spamming measure beyond stamina, but I wonder how this'll pan out...

Im so happy "thank you SE for making the combat much much faster..Now we can suck in all the good things there will be about the game w/o that one thing looming over our fun.It was just way way slow before, and now looks fun. Of corse not as fast as some other games, but if it was i probally wouldnt like it....Goood Job

The combat is definitely faster than FFXI's. It's not as fast as WoW's, but you, along some other people around here, will probably not be happy unless the game is as fast-paced as Warcraft or Aion.

Which isn't gonna happen.

By Action MMO I think he means 3D Action games which are MMO. Like Continent of the Ninth. As opposed to Strategy MMOs, aka MMORPGs, which FFXI is and FFXIV seems to be. Comparing the two is indeed stupid.
