I find it hilarious how passionate some of these arguments against Astrology are, particularly in that they can be found on a forum what's primary use is discussing the mechanics of magic spells and their practical applications of use against pixel dragons (with math, lol).

Why hate on the ignorant. Truth is that if everyone were so enlightened and there were no dumb people in the world, they'd see right thru the self-righteous bullshit that seems to be the passionate argument against Astrology.

For the record: I'm an Aries, so I don't believe in pre-determined systems like Astrology. Put your thinking cap on for that one.

Only as it related to astronomy. Regardless, the two subjects are almost entirely unrelated, so there's no real reason an astronomer would need to, or care to know about astrology. From what i actually bothered to read, they were implying that astrology was vital for an astronomer (said something about how he would even do his job without knowing some shit about astrology, lol), which is just silly.

Not so much from the article, that guy is just defending his scam, one'd be naive to expect morality from an astrologist; the fact some people swallow that shit, as evidenced by the comments to said article and your own words.
