what's the third option mean?
I'm surprised that so many people (yes, 9 is way too many) voted yes.
astrology-tards are worse than religion-tards. at least religion is brainwashed into a child from birth, so i can see and understand why people are religious.
to believe this shit, you accept it as an adult, without anyone forcing it upon you. abso-fucking-lutely absurd.
planets and stars determine your behavior based on when you are born?!? and you happen to share these characteristics with 1/12th the population?
i can't imagine how anyone smart enough to be able to turn on a computer and use the internet can believe this shit for a moment.
The signs don't even match up with the date ranges anymore, so even if Astrology was true by some infinitely idiotic possibility, the joke would still be on the dumbasses who claim they're a Virgo and they love carrots and being left in solitude or some shit. People are fucking stupid and anybody who even remotely acknowledges anything horoscope related is thoroughly retarded.
We're at 9 now? Seriously? And people say the level of intellectual ignorance required to make an Indian teenager kill herself in fear of the L.H.C. collision creating a black hole and sending us all to hell is rare and benign.
I think this is a good reminder to all of us that at least 5% of all the people we think we know are so blatantly idiotic that they become a danger to others and to themselves.
The people voting yes have to be misunderstanding the poll.
Should rename it to, "do you believe that stars, only within our Milky Way galaxy, and floating chunks of ice and gas, despite making up approximately only 0.00000000000000001% (not exaggerated) of all possible stars and floating chunks of ice and gas combined in the known universe, determine whether or not you will be optimistically cautious towards starting a new relationship this coming Tuesday."
See who votes yes then and promptly jettison them into the cold, vastness of space where they can allow the planets and stars to have a real and measurable impact on the future of their bodies by, you know, slightly counter-balancing the inevitable burning up into ash in the atmosphere of the Earth once gravity inevitably pulls them back down.
Can we make this poll public? This is for BG best interest.
Two of those are obvious trolls, which is a bit of a relief. The other seven though...ugh.
It's usually the chicks that buy this shit.
Well fuck me. The old style made it more obvious when poll were public.
Let's just hope the rest of them are troll or people who misclicked.
Dumb bitches just love Astrology, but then again I love dumb bitches.
The biggest problem with all of this is that it is based on, at the lowest level, that humanity is special and important in the universe. Even worse, it springs out of the idea that the universe cares - in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER - about whether humanity flourishes or is extinguished in a flash tomorrow. We are uncharacteristically insignificant bundles of flesh that will never, ever, ever, mean anything more than a single mosquito matters in the scope of all life on Earth in the past 4.5 billion years.
The hubris and delusion required to believe that not only are we important, but that the movement of cosmic objects is so finely tailored not only to our survival but to our DESIRES AND WHIMS is deeply and seriously insulting in so many ways that I cannot even begin to describe.
These delusions of grandeur that humans have, that history will give a shit about us, that the universe exists for us, that we are special, they are dangerous, silly, and childish.
To quote Dr. Lawrence Krauss on two fronts:
"We live in a very special time. The only time that we can observationally verify that we live in a special time."
and when discussing how to handle the adding and subtracting of infinite probabilities, "The universe is big. Rare events happen all the time, including life. And that doesn't mean it's special."
Edit: Up to 10 now. Fuck.
Why isn't voting yes an instaban? Do you really want these kind of people posting here? Really?
