Two guys kissing doesn't inhibit your ability to think critically about information you should accept or reject. Thinking critically is something that should be exalted in our society, not ridiculed. If I tell you that two guys kissing causes earthquakes in Haiti are you going to accept it? Of course not, you're going to insult me and tell me that there is absolutely NO PROOF WHATSOEVER between those correlations and the fact that I'm even saying it makes me a fucking idiot.

It's the same with astrology. Someone is saying something with absolutely no correlative basis and people are basing their life decisions off it and it is inhibiting progress, even if only in a very small way, it is still a progress inhibitor.

Two guys kissing isn't even a good comparison which means you really have no understanding of WHY people are mad about it. I don't care if it makes you warm and snuggly inside to think about these concepts but nobody on Earth should ever use this sort of ineffectual rational for a basis of anything, ever, in any circumstance.

I get worked up about people who refuse to think about any concepts that are challenging or unknown because it is the realm of God and man doesn't belong there questioning things.

And what is damaging to the least of us is damaging to all of us. It's easy to sit here and say, "oh they're just idiots, who cares if they ruin their lives." But it's a harmful situation and these people who, are given to the ridiculous, could be contributing overall to things that are good for all of us instead of focusing on silly beliefs that make them the center of the galaxy.

It lends itself directly to a selfish and self-centered mindset. No beliefs exist in a vacuum, it isn't how the psyche works. Everything that you believe shapes you in some way and it shapes your children, and your loved ones in some way. Either good or bad.
