Day won't stop, can't stop
Believing in aliens is pretty much like believing in astrology.
nah, when cats like Hawking or Sagan say there's bound to be alien life out there pretty sure they're more authority than any troll.
but tbh I don't even know why we're arguing about astrology I didn't know you have to believe in it to work. I mean I see it in the grocery store and 7-11 all the time but I usually just get the ky it's always worked for me
Hawking and Sagan aren't inmune to ridiculous beliefs, such as the belief in aliens. How can anyone believe in something with no proof?
I believe
Spoiler: show
no they use math and astronomy and science and shit to form a hypothesis, they don't believe in it
also evidence of alien life in our own solar system so proven
well them forming hypothesis by stuffing math in it to make it seem legitimate is independent of their belief in aliens. They already believe in aliens but they try to find a way to prove their preconceptions. It's really alright, nobody is perfect.
so because you say someone else believes they do? tryin waaayy too hard nagger
I didn't understand your post. It's pretty obvious that they believe it or otherwise they wouldn't bother trying to prove it. Which is good, their unfounded beliefs give them motivation to do science. Like religion gives people the motivation to fuck their cousins.
cousin fucking aside, you don't have to believe in something to try a scientific experiment and test its possibilities
anyways the conclusion they've come to on the probability of alien life is more a byproduct of their research into space rather than a hypothesis based on direct research
Of course you do. We're not machines, humans work on beliefs and assumptions. And at this moment there is only belief in alien life.
How about that Kurzweil guy?

P.S. Chicks love astrology talk. It's good to know a little about it, even if it's just talk to them about it.
Astrology pick up lines, GO!
Who says they believed? Maybe they just suspected, or even questioned. No problem with that so long as you come to your conclusion rationally.
no, not really. here's obv the nutbag belief in x-files aliens. but those ( Hawking etc ) guys don't believe in alien life, they crunch hard numbers and pore over large amounts of data and give a probability that is high enough to say with confidence "this is the most likely outcome."
there's no belief there, there's no faith. there's an understanding of a high ratio to a low ratio given the circumstances as it's presented. how about you go ask one of them if they "believe in aliens" and have them mindfuck you with some shit thats not so simply put as I have for you
A belief in aliens is truly no different than a belief in god or this silly astrology. I guess just some people don't like the word belief or being compared to theists. It's expected of militant atheists to hate being compared to theists.
or you can just try harder to troll a misrepresentation of the word belief
