Im just saying, I can't remember the last time a Penguin sliced an opponent inadvertantly with their skate, and this kid has like 15 games played in his NHL career and he already sliced 2 people with the same "accidental" manuever? Fishy...

Its like catching someone in the building of a murder scene with a bloody shirt and a firearm... you didn't SEE them shoot them, but it sure is some damning coincidental evidence... Certainly hard to refute the circumstancial evidence in both cases...

Ah Paul Kariya, one of the few "asian"s in the league. XD The one thing i will always remember is when Scott Steven's destroyed him while skating up the middle with his head down. Kariya man's up and scores the winning goal in that playoff game.

Oilers re-signed Gagner tonight. 2yrs, $4.55m total.

Heard a rumour that Edmonton is shopping Penner to LA for potentially Jack Johnson.
To LA: Don't do it! One fluke season where DUHHHHstin scores 30 doesn't mean a thing.
That and I think he's the only guy on the Oil that's taller than 6 feet. lol

Entering his fifth season, the plan of Shero and coach Dan Bylsma is to make Staal the club's No. 2 center behind Sidney Crosby. Staal, a third-line pivot for the past three seasons, is to reunite with center Evgeni Malkin, who has told Shero and Bylsma he is comfortable moving to wing and playing alongside Staal.

Malkin and Staal combined for 62 goals as top rookie finalists in 2006-07, with Staal scoring a career-best 29 markers.

Crosby, Malkin and Staal combine to account for 37 percent of the $57.7 million the Penguins have committed to 21 players.

"We have talked about Malkin at wing, but there are other things we need to find out," Shero said. "Is Tyler Kennedy good enough to play higher in the lineup? Tyler has to prove it to us in camp. Same with Max (Talbot). His game last year - is that it? Where are we with Max?

I like it, why wouldn't you? Opens Malkin up to do a lot more scoring because he'll have less responsibilities as a winger, not to mention he's fucking terrible at face-offs.

Assuming Tangradi is ready for the NHL, Tangradi - Staal - Malkin is a pretty scary line.

You would prefer Tangradi - Staal - Malkin enough to leave Crosby with Kunitz and Dupius? If you give the 2nd line 11/71 you gotta give Crosby Tangradi.

Well, without seeing how well Tangradi actually does, yes. Dupuis is like the only other guy on the team fast enough to keep up with Crosby and he came off a fantastic season last season, I would absolutely reward him by putting him on Crosby's line again. The thing I've noticed is Crosby can make anyone look good (hello Colby?) but without decent support, Malkin kind of fizzles. Kunitz just defaults to the first line because he doesn't fit anywhere else.
