The CPU does have way too high of a BS goal rate, I'll be beating up the CPU on Pro for pucks in Ultimate Team mode and outshoot them like 35-5 and only win like 5-2, but at least the turnovers in the defensive end increasing shooting % thing goes both ways, I've absolutely beasted some plays after taking the puck before someone could get out of the zone. Craig Adams intercepted a pass from Ratapata and proceeded to deke out both Ds and the goalie and on my ultimate team, Bergfors intercepted a pass at the blueline towards the boards and immediately fucking obliterated a short side top corner slap shot from across the offensive zone past the goalie.

What I don't like most is goalies doing the swinging behind the back animation like 5 times per game....

Oh god yes. And sometimes the puck barely moves while others I've had the goalie launch it to the sideboards at 50 mph+

Also as expected, you get like 8 stick breaks+ per game. Seems like every 3rd slapshot I take ends up dribbling directly to an opposing forward while my D can't do shit after launching half of his stick at the net. I appreciate the realism of them being able to break, but it seems excessive. There are plenty of NHL games where very few (0-2) stick breaks occur.

Also 3 star selection is NHL11 is horrible. I've had my goalie get a shutout many times only to have the other goalie get 1st star because he had far more saves.

Devils fined 3 million dollars, lose their 2011 3rd-round draft pick, and one 1st-round draft pick of their choice between 2011-2014, of their choice to be reported to the NHL by the day after the Stanley Cup Finals for the failed Kovy deal 1.0.

Also the fine does not count against the cap apparently. Oh well still a 1st and a 3rd.

Kinda think the Devils didn't deserve that. As much as I'm not going to lose sleep over them paying far too much to land Kovy, they really weren't doing anything other teams had done and gotten away with. Not sure if that was worth losing a first for.

So I'm looking up who young prospects and old greats are playing with (ex: Jagr in the KHL) so I can look them up in NHL11 and play with them on my ultimate team (except those who are in the KHL, since EA didn't get the KHL License) and I'm typing in Peter Forsberg on google and the auto-fill answer is all about him and Lady Gaga. I guess there were rumors of him and her being together back in early 2010. Wow.

The Sheldon Souray saga took an interesting twist Monday evening as Edmonton Oilers' general manager Steve Tambellini issued a statement letting the media know that the disgruntled defenceman was not welcome at camp.

"We've been trying to move the player for some time obviously," Tambellini explained to reporters at the Young Stars Tournament in Penticton, B.C. "Sheldon has expressed strong interest over a long period of time that it's best for him to move and we're going to try and help him with that. I couldn't get that done prior to this camp.

"I hope to get it done during camp, but it's best for the Oilers for him not to be at camp right now."

The team called Souray's agent, Paul Theofanous, this past Friday to inform him that they were considering this tactic.

At that time, Theofanous asked for the decision in writing and Monday afternoon he received an email was from the Oilers stating that the team did not want Souray to attend training camp and asked that he standby for further instructions as to where and when he should report.

Souray told TSN that he has no idea what that means, however he remains very positive about his playing future.

"Nothing really surprises me, but I've prepared all summer...that has been my focus, to be ready for camp, ready to report and help my team and help myself," Souray told TSN.

"Things happen, I guess, however as a professional and a proud guy, I wanted to be part of all of the positive things that are happening around the team right now. My focus was to come in here and be a pro. There never would have been any distraction from my end," Souray added.

Souray was skating in Edmonton informally on Monday with members of the Oilers and said that he intends on continuing to do so for the next few days.

The controversy stems from the 34-year old's decision to go public with his criticism of the team back in April, stating that he felt as though he had been mistreated by the organization by being forced to play before he had completely recovered from a shoulder injury. He also demanded a trade.

The Oilers responded by shopping the 11-year veteran who missed more than half the season with a broken hand and concussion issues, around the league. When there were no suitable deals to be found, the team placed Souray on waivers in the hope that someone would take the two-years and $9 million remaining on his contract off their hands. Once again they came up empty and with the latest announcement it appears as though the two sides are headed towards a very nasty and very public divorce. Regardless, this story is far from over as the Oilers continue to prepare for the upcoming season.

Souray and Redden in the AHL next year looks likely

That was priceless yesterday since he showed up to skate with a few of the Oilers, as if all would be forgotten and swept under the rug. He was telling people "That was a few months ago, I'm excited and optimistic about the direction the team is headed now. " trying to save face since he realized the other 29 teams want nothing to do with him.

All the rumors about signing him revolved around trading Fleischmann. With the Caps keeping Flash and looking to use him at center, Belanger became expendable. I liked him but he just didn't produce. Hope he's a good fit for Phoenix.
