Point made, but Naby gets a lot of undeserved shit for the Sharks recent struggles in the playoffs. It's a shame only him and Pat Marleau were playing in the WCF.

Bregor, the problem with Nabby was that until this year, he just completely choked in the post season. He'll have an amazing game then follow it up with a horrible stinker. We would have never made it out of the first round as is if Pavelski did not bail his ass out in game 2 against the avalanche. I love Nabby, but he's not a big game player. Then again neither have Thorton or Marleau outside of short bursts here and there.

Since he came to the sharks, only one year did his playoff GAA come out lower then his season GAA and even then the sharks got blown out in 6 games. Shit is just frustrating.

Sample size, clutch vs. choke clichés, etc. etc. I seem to recall going through this shit in the baseball thread last year with ARod, then he went nuts in the postseason. I know it's frustrating as a fan (hi2u Alex Semin) but given enough games in the playoffs, people's stats usually begin to line up with their established lines in the regular season.

Bregor's right to a point, Nabby's lifetime playoff stats are actually better than his regular season stats, 2.39/.914 regular and 2.28/.912 playoffs...but, the truth still stands that when a big save needs to be made, or even more to the point when a soft goal really, really needs to not be given up, he just doesn't have the stuff. I think 80 playoff games is a pretty decent sample size to decide whether or not someone's a playoff winner, lol.

First of all i am happy that halak left. But for these reason

1) This is the first season that halak actually has a real winning stats.
2) For those who are not in Montréal does not know but halak has been crying all season that he wasn't playing, he even came to the media once and said If i don't play 2 games in the next 10 i wanna be traded. I do not accept that attitude

3) As for now Halak is worth more then Price so Canadiens could've got good stuff I am pissed that MTL got shit players for him though.

4) I know Price will be good, and i am sure that the adversity he got this year will make him grow.


5) as for seppuku, i don't have a Mic for the PS3 where do you get one?

if you have a BlueTooth for your cellphone those work as PS3 mics as well, but pretty much any game store will probably have a USB one that works

Just please get a decent BlueTooth if you go that route. The amount of shitty BlueTooth mics on MW2 is ridiculous, and they're all Puerto Ricans, so I'm never sure if it's a hurricane in the background or just extreme static. It's so wonderful that MW2 included a mute.

The question becomes what can the Flyers do with Coburn. He's a RFA I believe, and if they can trade carter for a Winger that'll free up some room for keeping Coburn. The flyers also don't have a 1st or 2nd rd pick until 2012.

Hamhuis is probably one the best non-Volchenkov D in free agency imo, good pickup for them, really expected the Caps to make a move on him since they appear to be re-tooling their defense to be more, well, defensive.

I'd actually have him pretty far down the list:

1. Niedermayer
2. Martin
3. Michalek
4. Gonchar
5. Volchenkov
6. Kubina
7. Hamuis

This seems like a wierd move to trade for Hamuis rights and then trade Coburn as Hamhuis will cost quite a bit more and isn't that much better.
