I don't know how I've never seen this before, but here's Eric Nystrom re-enacting the Braden striptease from Slap Shot:

idk really, Niedermayer isn't reallly an open-market type of deal, if he doesn't sign with the ducks he's probably retiring. I'd say Volchenkov is the best that's going to be available, Gonchar's only really useful on the PP and towards the end of the Canadiens series he didn't look like he gave a flying fuck about playing hockey anymore.
I do wonder who's going to be out in Philly though, they don't have a lot of cap room left and still have their forwards to re-sign, and I'm guessing they're not going to put all their chips on Boucher for next season so they'll be needing a goalie, too.
Thought Theo was out already?
Technically yes but a boy can dream. I really liked Theo, but he'd just be a luxury with Varly/Neuvirth in town.
Also the Preds haven't seem to have been getting a lot considering they just unloaded two of their better players, either they have some interesting things up their sleeves planned for July 1st or they for some reason are in scrap/rebuild mode a couple years too early.
http://twitter.com/TSNBobMcKenzie/status/16568252398It has been suggested to me that there's no chance Jeff Carter will be odd man out in PHI. More likely to be someone else. Interesting.
Hartnell waive his NTC? Gagne gone? I dunno who else it could honestly be.
Losing Arnott is meh, and I've read that most of their top prospects are defensemen, so I guess they just decided they couldn't afford Hamhuis and will go with youth on the blue line. What they do with that extra cap room remains to be seen, but after they surprised everyone by going up 2-1 on Chicago in the 1st round, I would hope they try to build on that rather than cheap out for a year or two until they develop some forwards. The hardest part is going to be luring top free agents to come to Nashville.
With Arnott gone now, I wonder if and kinda hope Steve Sullivan will get the C. I've always liked him since he was a Hawk, and was pretty pissed when we traded him years ago.
Habs fans are some of the most clueless hockey fans around it seems. Last year they were all bitching and moaning about the trades made, but look what happened. Now theyre bitching and moaning about Halak getting traded...let the fuckin cards play out.
Apparently Briere was in a pretty serious car accident the other day.. He's fine but his car is fucking smashed. No idea how I didn't hear about it until today. I live 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia..

Ah must have missed it. I saw your post and it was Penguins related. So I didn't think it had any correlation since it didn't really have any mention of Danny Briere.. But whatevs. Sorry for the repost.
Michel Briere was a rookie with the Pens who was killed in a car crash. Could have been a pretty decent player had he lived.

Nah Snyder sucked.
