I think Chicago has made fairly smart moves so far this offseason, considering the dilemma that they were presented with. Now they just need some good young players to make the jump this year.

Aren't their top 6F/4D pretty much set? And Hossa and Campbell are the only key guys on the wrong side of 30. Chicago is pretty much good to go for a long time, even if they stand pat. Adding a role player here and there on the cheap or from their farm system shouldn't be too hard.

He was just demoted by the Oilers and switched roles with Tom Renney. The hype going into tomorrow is the Taylor vs Tyler debate. Only Pat Quinn -accidentally- slipped up and made the comment along the lines of "I'm disappointed I won't be behind the bench next season. I was looking forward to coaching Taylor Hall."

Marleau: 4 years, 6.9m a season
Pavelski: 4 years, 4m a season.

For forwards it kind of depends on what happens with Versteeg and/or Sharp. Right now they're looking at something along the lines of:

Brouwer/Toews/Kane
Hossa/Sharp/Kopecky
Ladd(?)/Bolland/Versteeg
Bickell(?)/Reasoner/no idea

Ds completely depend on if Campbell gets dealt, but I'd take Keith/Seabrook/Campbell/Hjalmarsson over a lot of the top 4 setups in the league.

Bear in mind there's a big difference between 'resigned' and 're-signed' lol

You mean you wouldn't trade that top 4 for my Jackets' Hejda-Tyutin-Klesla-Commodore top 4? lol Although Kris Russell will get some serious consideration for the top 4 this year and we've been all but assured by out GM that "big changes" are coming on our blueline. I'm expecting at least one or a combination of Tyutin/Klesla/Hejda to be moved this offseason.
