I liked him when he played for the Penguins, it's just too bad he was never really given a shot in the NHL. The Penguins have way too many scrappy guys for him to have a place on the team.

Also, looks like Kovalchuk might end up in LA after all, he's going to have a face to face discussion with the GM. I just hope something happens with it this week regardless of where he goes, he's being a primadonna.

Carter really drove me nuts this past year. and while id love to see G be the #2C, i have a feeling if they trade Carter, it will come back to bite them in the arse

Why mess with the Leino-Briere-Hartnell line? You can't demote them to the third line. That line should be #2 and make your changes as needed when it doesn't perform to the same level that it did in the playoffs.

ugggh per ESPNChicago the Hawks are planning on both matching the Hjalmarsson sheet and keeping Niemi, and are now shopping Campbell(lol) and Sharp(FUCK).

Hoping they can catch a team like NYI who needs a contract to get to the salary floor and get them to eat the Campbell contract.

edit: St. Louis, Colarado, Atlanta, and Islanders all need at least $4m just to get to the floor

So in some fluff news, Captain Serious was in Winnipeg where it was announced a lake north of Flin Flon was renamed Toews Lake, as well, the community centre which he grew up playing in was renamed in his honour. Oh, keys to the city too.

Pretty cool to have a lake named after you I guess.

Apparently Campbell has a limited no trade clause. He can submit a list of 8 teams he will ok a trade to.

Pretty sure it's a legit pic from yesterday lol. As far as Campbell, they can trade him, but he picks a list of 8 teams that he is willing to go to. Hopefully he puts one of the teams as NYI or some other team with a ton of space.
