They played a bit of the Talbot interview on sports radio today and I had a chuckle. Calling one of the faces of the NHL a douche takes some balls. I mean Talbot does have a ring, but he'll get what's deserved for calling him a douche. Both teams hate each other and it'll be an amazing game.

Too bad NHL refuses to bring an outdoor game to the other conference. Canucks vs. Detroit in Sweden or Russia would be neat. On a side note, can someone photoshop Ryan Kesler and Capt. America into one picture. Maybe the shield on Kesler's arm, or put Kesler's face on Capt's body. Thanks. Lol.

I just want to see teams play the outdoor game that aren't repeats until everyone's had a shot, but given that it needs to be played in extreme cold, that sorta limits the options for hosts. And if they keep with the formula of the host's rival as the opponent, we won't see certain teams in the Winter Classic.

I know what they're gonna do. The NHL is gonna build an outdoor roller rink, with the sport court, and have the Kings play the Ducks at The Coliseum in next year's Winter Classic. Oddly enough as crazy as this sounds, I would totally watch it.

I agree. Rupp should also get a nice contract, somewhere in the $4mil range for setting career highs last season as well as being a reliable enforcer.

Caps resign Fleischmann to 1 year, $2.6 mil. I really figured they would have moved him, and probably will during the season if he keeps up his inconsistency.

Despite his age, I think Modano can still provide for another year. He possesses amazing leadership skills, his PPG production may have dropped as he got older, but he's still doing a point every two games, considering Dallas been a meh team the past couple years, I think he could be an amazing low money signing, probably take 1m for a year, preferably to Minnesota, so he can finish where he started.

Hmm, better add an extra 2-3m to that contract, he has more rings than ovechkin.
