I think a bigger factor is the condition of where your teeth are. My top two were almost surfaced, but my bottom two were completly (and quite a bit) below the gumline, and almost completely horizontal, touching another molar. Probably complicates things more than if they are about to surface, or at least upright.

My teeth were in almost the exact situation as you. Good that your father gave you your pills back - now just hop on the painkiller train and enjoy yourself 8)

I had mine done about 13 years ago and I was drugged up before and that was about it...I had to take ibuprofen and was told to rinse with salt water and they gave my syringes to rinse the holes out with water. I was in pain for a good 2 weeks.

Just get my bottom right wisdom tooth took out this morning, because my mouth gum in that area keep getting infection from bacteria. At least, it is far better than the pain from the infection that happened last time, which cause myself not even able to open my mouth.

I think the only problem for me will be cooking and forcing myself to stay on soft food. I"m kind the person who like to cook nice stuff and eat good stuff. Furthermore, we have seafood feast start from this friday to sunday, so....

when i got mine out (all 4, same time, 3 hours) i didnt took any meds for pain after the first day, on the third day i was already eating and drinking normally, i must be a freak.

Going to the dentist for the next scheduled checkup in 3 hours... I'm still fairly sore at random times throughout the day.

All discoloration besides a slight bruise on my cheek, has disappeared. Just waiting for the holes to slowly close themselves now I suppose. Dry socket is probably completely impossible from happening at this point in time lol.

I'm just still uneasy about using my back teeth to chew, mainly for fear of damaging the healing that has already occurred. I also don't want crap getting stuck in there. I'm afraid to touch the inside of the holes with anything besides squirting water in it to clean, once again for fear of damaging the healing.

It's starting to annoy me, and will get worse in a week when im in vacation and what to enjoy the food im eating

fuuuuu.

So this afternoon I was resting my head on my hands at a table, and i noticed this decent sized (like half dollar or so) lump on the bottom back end of my jaw, a bit more forward in my mouth than where the socket is. I pushed on it slightly and it moved and shit, wtf. Felt like there was something in it, and there was a lot of pressure on it whenever I chewed or touched it even slightly. I went to the surgeon and he drained it I guess, he said it had a bunch of blood in it, and it doesn't look infected at all. He said I have a mild dry socket and packed stuff, which now tastes like cloves or w/e.

Problem is the lump seems to be coming back from what I can feel, and he said if it does they have to put me under again to slice my gum and clean out w/e is causing this, god damn. why can't this be easy like other people. I'm honestly starting to get upset. I should've waited until after our vacation to do this, it's fucking up my entire summer.
