i'm assuming you think that because i wrote a lot, i'm mad at you for believing L and R are the same sound, or not telling me where you went to school... right? i'm saving face because i shamed myself by revealing that i went to a good school, know things that every native english speaker knows, etc. that's about the size of it?

i was Just Trolling, and my arrogance is a facade to save face because i'm not smart enough to realize the secret trolling message.

edit: while it's clear, i wasn't actually trolling. i was bored, and i really am probably that arrogant. further edit: re: the school stuff though, don't take that the wrong way. i hate the university of chicago, and i hate academia generally. i'm not particularly proud of where i went school, but when asked whether i'm presumptuously doing the first-year-in-subject thing where suddenly everything in intro to X is relevant in every discussion, no, i'm not, i'm actually highly educated. as anyone else here who's highly educated and not a moron themselves will tell you, there are lots of highly educated morons; it's not particularly impressive.

of course, there are other things about my intelligence and such that are pretty impressive.

i know you didn't read it, but i actually won the argument well before it turned into troll-rambling. i won it on like my first post actually... there weren't even steps in the argument. it was just "X" "no, not-X because of Y." "uh-uh," uh-huh."
