2. Anyone know the .dat mod or UI mod that changes the color of the BRD song icons? Levelling BRD now and I think it would be nice to have.

Ffxistyle should have it, or you can edit the icon .dat yourself with this program.

Page 246. Get your graphics card's control panel up and see if there's anything which is sets the screen size default to 1440x900. If not, look at Display Properties on WinXP/Vista/7, and make sure its 1280x720 (I imagine you've done this already).

I couldn't find anything unfortunately... I tried loading up FFXI on 1440x900 on my TV - it also works fine, just a little tough to read.

Still, upon switching the TV on, or switching back from a TV channel, there is a delay where the screen is black (on TV), then as it loads up POL crashes. It's almost like it's just resetting the display... I guess it's not necessarily a resolution issue.

Does anyone have the approved windower program "Easymac?" The link is dead now on the windower forums. It was a really basic program that would automatically make you a .txt script for the gear you were wearing. HDD shit the bed the other day, that'll make macro rebuilding much easier. Thanks Email is [email protected] if you can't host, feel free to change .exe to .whatever if gmail is being cranky.

I don't know about the windower plugin, but you can do they same thing by making gearsets on FFXIAH.

I know macros are stored locally on my hard drive. Anyone know which file? Are there any programs out there that let you edit your macros? I really hate doing it in the game and would prefer if I could just open then with notepad or maybe someone has made a program especially for editing macros?

They're in your USER folder in the ffxi directory. Afaik they're a friggin mess if you just open them.

They're not that much of a mess, and can be edited with notepad, though you'd need to already have text where you want to put something. Polutils can edit macros, as can various other programs that can be found listed over on windower.net.

Would Fillmode work? I hear some people just dat swap the antlions into, like, dhalmels, so I imagine they'd just be sitting below the surface rather than spawning as you walk over them.

If you swap the dat with something else it'll be sitting on top of the ground as normal. The antlions being underground is part of their particular animations and won't affect anything you put in their place (although the models will pop up once you run over them and spaz out anyway) If you don't want to use apradar and aren't soloing it it's pretty easy to do with just dat swaps, memorize where the others are and just find the one that moves, and that one is chimichonga.

I use a security token, no viruses/laptop is completley clean (just done another check) and never given out my account info. So this picture is really quite worrying lol.. I logged back onto my account no problems at all. And my character (by the pixel) was in exactly the place I left it. No activity AH-wise on mule or main.

So I've come to BG to ask if anyone else has had a similar experience. Is there anything I should be doing right now as a precaution? I can't understand it.

I APRadar my way through that fight every time I do it (going like 0/20+ is bad for keeping up momentum, and the price dropping off is worse). I was just curious since I've heard people dat mod antlions.

Silly question but do you have a mule or something you thought you were logging onto but accidentally logged onto your main and booted yourself? I've done it before x.x

It could be something to do with the jeopardised account thing they posted not so long ago. If you try log an account in and get the secure code wrong (Possibly password too) then it still boots out the person on the account at the time, just doesn't log you in either.

May have found out your details from that security breach and tried to log in only to be blocked out because of the secuity tag. Would give them the wrong password/whatever message and boot you I believe.

Least it used to work like that. You could block someone with a security tag from staying logged in if you had their account details but not the code just by attempting to log in but failing. Not sure if they've fixed it now or not.

not 100% on this, but i'm pretty sure that if you have all someones information, but none of the token information, you can still log them out, but you can't get in yourself.

best bet is to camp zones if you can't get friends to help you kill it, ask groups killing it for an invite.

the fly is killable with drk/brd/haster without being madproz also, so mnk probably could manage in place of the drk.

Thanks Derock, yeah I've changed both my Playonline and Square-Enix passwords now. All scans came back clean. I will contact a GM when I get back in-game.

Just for a bit more info. Basically last night I went to bed, and left my character in the middle of whitegate. I got up at 10:45BST and noticed the "logged in at a different terminal" screen. So I checked the text file logs and apparently the last activity in that zone from any /shouts etc was 08:45BST.

Riiaider, nope I have no alt accounts at all. And my security token is kept in a place that only I know, and theres actually noone else in the house either.

Jem/Chen, aaah now that is interesting. So perhaps somehow my password was comprimised but then they failed to actually log-in due to the one-time pass. Thank god I do have a token/and it did it's job properly in which case. I am typically very thorough with my security though, and I do not visit untrusted websites. So I guess this is a warning to anyone that thinks their stuff is safe. Gladly the token proved it's worth however.

One mistake I did make however, was when I logged back in after intially noticing what had happened. I was in such a rush to get on the character to see what it's status was (if anything was taken etc) that I neglected to see when the "Last Logged in" time was. Does anyone know if this information is archived anywhere? That would be of great help.

Any continued insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and thank you all for your help so far.

Yes it is. It can be kited around numerous large rocks in gusta during chainspell, and outside of chainspell you can easily kite it anywhere since it casts and gazes so damn often. I didn't even have an mdt set the first time i did it. It's a bit difficult during chainspell, and there is certainly some risk, but it's far from impossible.

Poison helps during chainspell, because it tends to spam sleepga repeatedly, but do NOT cancel stoneskin to wake yourself up, unless it's about to break anyway.

edit: i suppose i should read. On mnk? Yeah, no way that's happening, but if you've got a rdm account, you could just dual box it. Otherwise duoing it with a rdm should be easy enough.

I used to think it did, but I just spend a long time on DRG using Halberd poking Steelshells. Can say for sure that they don't proc on jumps.

Cheers, I had a feeling it wasn't working. Time to be careful with my Jumps when using LH!
