To get the new staffs you have to:

1) Get Crook from chest.
2) Trial 790 - Kill 50 trents in any weather.
3) Trail 791 - Kill 50 spiders in fire, wind, thunder, or light weather.
4) Trial 816 - Kill 50 mobs in thunder weather.
5) Trial 817 - Kill 75 Beasts in thunder weather.
6) Trial 822 - Finish Blow 150 Vermin w/ 50+dmg thunder.
7) Trial 823 - Finish Blow 200 Slimes w/ 150+dmg thunder.
8) Trial ??? to get Indra Staff.

Hey, I was wondering what some solid ways were to skillup after 75.

I just finished BRD to 80 (only reason I leveled it first is because of the quick invites). I have no problem skilling up wind/string in Besieged, although waiting for a Besieged to happen while I'm online can be a problem... What I'm mainly concerned about, however, is what I'm going to do with things like 25 new Great Axe levels. Unless my EXP parties are capped at something post-75, which is unlikely, it's probably going to get no skillups I sincerely doubt the Steelshells in the Boyahda are going to be worthwhile anymore either as well. What have you guys been doing to keep your weapon skill levels capped?

Aside from Besieged - Catoblepas and Tar. Efts in Bibiki will take cap you out around 76-77. Greater Manticores in Teriggan will take you to maybe 78 or 79... Apocalyptic Weapons and Infernal Weapons are level 78-81ish, so should cap you out, but they slow down a lot at 80ish... Darksteel Golems behind the Moongate are still good skill at 80... If you can't do Besieged, maybe Aura Statues would be a good bet at 80 - or Greater Colibri...

Besieged is very fast skill, however. Probably your best bet.

I was able to play fine yesterday pre and post update. logged off and shut down last night, i wake up this morning and i find that i need to now "Update to the latest version of Play Online"

is there anyway to roll back sort of and be able to pick up my id and then update?

I searched BG for "Salvage Mods" and got a link but AVG is blocking manafont.org

I'm about to test Subtle Blow for MNK post-75... how many hits should be a good test?

Plan is to hit it like 5(?) times synced at 75 with a staff and no Subtle Blow gear, then have someone charm it and report the TP.

We kill that mob, unsync - then do it again with another.

If TP is the same, no Subtle Blow increase... if it's different, we hit a new tier... but how many hits do I need to land first?

10 hits will definitely give you exact tp feed, since it's rounded to 1 decimal.

Good place to skill up shield at 80? Currently doing Sea Puks at MMJSP but it has completely slowed down.

T1 VNMs were giving me a lot of skillups. Edit: Not on shield but it should be fine. Easy to just let a t1 crab hit you for a while.

EXP 76-80 can be done by...

- New mobs in Bibiki; solid XP, but not overwhelming... this camp probably sucks after 77 or so...

- Abraxas in Lufaise; they raised the level... and these probably will last til 80... they fucking suck though...

- Syncing to 75 and going to old camps.

- New mobs in Promyvion... seems ideal around 76-77...

- Seaboard Vultures in Misareaux... they're VT-IT+ @ 76...

- La Value has a camp I see mentioned a lot...

- New IT+ mobs up top Uleguerand

- MMM

- Abyssea

- Campaign / FoV / Besieged / ENM / Etc... (lol)

I won't get into the new gear, since the really good stuff is still largely unknown... the biggest gear change this update is really the new weapons that are available.

So, getting an alt through CoP, did the pot fight but in a rush to get in some BLM exp warped my alt out before getting the cutscene at the Luminous Convergence. Where is that and can I simply run him back to there to get the cs, or will I have to redo the fight?

When running an ls, if a potential ls member takes an exp party over a ls event, I take them out of the ls roster as a potential member and tell them they are not wanted anymore basically.

My reasoning is this: through experience I've found that members who don't really care about the ls events tend to slow the rest of the group down. They're always semi afk, lagging behind, and are a general hinderance. Therefor if the person would rather exp party than do ls event they clearly don't care about the ls THAT much, and therefor are probably going to end up slowing ls down at later times.

Following this reasoning, am I being to strict in barring that type of person from my ls? I totally understand like, a dynamis run or CoP mission static or a nyzul static etc, but exp parties I draw the line at.

Is this too strict or is this general protocol for most ls leads?

Normally that sounds fine...with a level cap increase, I think you're crazy if you truly expect people to keep up a full event schedule and not want to level their main job(s) over coming to an event..

Yeah, i'd definitely give people a week or so to get their jobs up to 80. Otherwise, yeah, that's not too unreasonable, unless the person has a good track record, and it only happens once, then you may want to consider making an exception.
