With the new DMG: 28+9 EviscerationDMG:+10% magian dagger and the Critical Attack Bonus job trait, would Evisceration be better (on average) than Dancing Edge for THF? Assuming no X's Knife.
What happened to the Magian Trials for armor? Didnt SE say at Vanafest that they would add them in this last update?
Can I play something else on my PC while ffxi updates without it crashing?Fucking 9 hours to update this shit.
Ancedotal, don't know if anyone can do anything with this information. Just completed ToAU 44 for some friends. At level 75, my freeze 2 was capping out at 1089 on magic burst on final form Alexander. Tonight, at 80, it capped out at 1410. I was curious if this helped us draw any conclusions about the mb trait SE added to blm in last patch. Same gear, etc. Only difference was level and mb trait.
Can weaponskills crit even if their TP modifier isn't critical hits without the use of Sneak Attack or Mighty Strikes? (Chance of critical hits varies with TP)
More specifically, can Gekko crit without the use of sneak attack?
These new WS: DMG+10% weapons have me a bit confused. MKD head says "Damage+2%" while these are saying DMG+10%. Has anyone tested if this increases the total damage by 10% (DMG, FSTR + WS Mods), or just the DMG portion?
EDIT: Found an answer to my question. Friend has Cyclone: DMG+10% dagger and notices an increase in damage. Since Cyclone is magic-based weapon skill, the DMG rating of the weapon shouldn't be a factor in resulting damage. Weird how they used DMG, but is probably to save space. How does the JP version translate?
At first glance I just assumed it worked in the same manner as Overwhelm, just a straight % increase added to the final damage result.
If your WS did 500 damage before it'd do 550 damage with the augment (assuming all other factors were the same).
I can see how it's misleading tho, when we see 'DMG' we thing the damage rating on a weapon, not referring to damage dealt.
Anyone attempting to cap out parry now at Lv.80? I been using the chigoes in Grauberg they seem to be working okay, but nothing that insanely productive, I was in Bhaflau Remnants this morning and got 1.3 skill over the course of 1hr
is there any way to change your username without changing servers, make mules on the same servers and deactivate or something
Random question:
Does anyone know how to add maps to Apradar?
Thanks in advance, tired of looking at blank radar for new areas.
Newbie questions:
This relates to the level cap /restrictions lifted in the Promyvion areas, I have not done any of the Promyvion missions yet. I have all of the expansions. Relating to these notices from SE:
Level restrictions imposed upon Chains of Promathia mission battlefields have been lifted.
Level restrictions have been lifted in the following areas:
Pso'Xja / Promyvion - Holla / Promyvion - Dem / Promyvion - Mea / Promyvion - Vahzl / Phomiuna Aqueducts / Sacrarium / Riverne - Site B01 / Riverne - Site A01
I noticed some solo vid(s) from level 75's in one of the Promys with a nm. It confuses me because I am uncertain what actual level a person should be now that the restrictions are lifted.
1. Using SE terms for the recent update notes, what is the difference between a level cap and a level restriction?
2. What is the minimum level now to go into the Promy area and start the quests ? ( Lower Delkfut tower quest for Promyvion Holla "Below the Arks" to start doing the level 30 Memory Receptacle battles).
3. If any area or battle had its previous restrictions lifted, does that mean that the minimum level for that battle is what those restrictions were previously set to?
Example: Memory Receptacle battle previously set characters at level 30 so now that the restriction is lifted, can players level 30 and up do the battle at whatever their current level is and the mobs will check accordingly?
Thanks for any info![]()
