"Level restriction" means being forcibly lowered in level in a certain situation, such as a BCNM or, as used to be the case, when inside Promyvion. "Level cap" can interchangeably mean either the absolute level cap, which was just raised from 75 to 80, or the same thing as a level restriction i.e. referring to a BCNM with a level restriction as a "capped fight".
The minimum level hasn't changed, whatever it is.
The mobs in the previously capped areas and the CoP mission BCNMs have not, in any way, been altered. For example, the mobs for the first 3 Promyvion BCNMs will die in a hit or two from a Lv.80 character, and are still completely possible to beat at Lv.30. Some of the previously capped areas have, however, had mobs added and these mobs are all VT and above to a 75 character, but are generally in far-flung corners of the map where someone doing the mission would not run into them.
Does ANYONE know if the 300TP aftermath for Death Penalty and/or Gastraphetes (Occasionally deals double damage) works for Barrage??
There's a new Occ. deals dbl. dmg. bow, and if it procs on Barrage then I am going to get it.
I think this is pretty sensible. First time they do it, I'd prod them to come along but if they're doing it when on trial, then they're idiots...
Right now though, we have actively dropped ls events for a little and have considered dropping more for another week or so. Peeps are desperate to xp/complete trials.
But a prospective member is an idiot to skip an ls event if they want into the shell on a permanent basis. Better to send a tell to the ls leadership asking if they're required than to skip. Shows a bad attitude.
I don't know if I'd remove em immediately but I'd certainly talk to them. Depends on your rules. They'd definitely only get one shot on that score though.
Let's say I'd like to learn how to make my own mathematical models so I could figure out stuff on my own...
Where would be a good place to start reading up on such information?
Any suggestions where I can go for the Teiwaz lightning path trial 817? (Kill 75 Beasts under Lightning day/weather)
I am currently killing gnoles in Vunkerl Inlet when lightning weather does appear which seems to be every hour or so and lasts about 5-10 minutes, I can only fit in 2/3 kills in that duration.
I heard killing the Tiger pets in vunkerl is good too but the issue I am having is a good decent lightning weather, I dont mind if its 1h/2h betwen each appearance as long as I can get a solid 10/20 kills.
Shall I just wait it out until Lightnings day and get a solid hour or is there somewhere someone can suggest?
I can't recall ever going to Toraimarai Canal before. May have passed through it once, but I certainly wouldn't recognize it if I saw it. That being said, do you need the blm whm rdm thing to get access? Trying to find a good spot for lowest lv easy prey undeads for my 600 undead trial of magians.
You would need a BLM WHM RDM combo, a portal charm, or a rhinostery certificate.
Does Spiral Hell get an acc and/or atk boost?
Not counting Masamune/Any other GKT from Walk of Echoes/Abyssea, what GKT from Trials of the Magians would be able to out-damage Hagun in most situations? If any~?
I can't go ahead and say that it does out-damage Hagun because I don't think it has been tested yet? Or I have not seen any tests nor' seen for my own eyes its performance but I think :
Keitonotachi
Is the closest you are going to get to actually beating it, although I think the OAT one is good competition depending on your gear.
I might need to be corrected though, not really a Samurai now-it-all.
Editrobably better for whats better.
On that note:
Anyone know if the Trial for 300 "Keen Edge" Weaponskills on Lizards is well.. LIZARDS, or any mob of the Lizard Family?
Edit: Answered my own Quesiton, once again, any lizard family mob
MNK question.
I can't be the only one who thought of this. But, since weapon base damage doesn't matter for kick attacks, would it be possible to take advantage of OAT 2-3 hand-to-hand weapon to play MNK in footwork mode?
Months 4 through 6 in Vana'diel time are supposedly monsoon season, and the Tree has water/thunder weather very frequently during that time. I noticed thunder weather about every day yesterday (which was late Month 4).
If you are solo, on ice day you can start killing several bunnies so that you can kill them in one shot at the beginning of thundersday. Your ability to do this successfully solo largely depends on you having a windower macro (or something similar) that echoes when Sleepga II is about to wear off so you can start casting Sleepga I right before it wears off.
