For example

I have 10% haste, I add 20


20/(100-30) = increase = .2857 = 28.57% increase


For accuracy just

new hitrate/old hitrate

Example

I have 93% hitrate increase to 95

95/93 = increase = 1.0215 = 2.15% increase

I would have figured a 10/(100-30) would have been the formula. Are you sure that's the formula for a % increase to TP gain? Or is that just a % increase from haste to haste?

Not really 20% haste giving a 28% increase.

1 haste at minimum is 1% increase unless you're slowed or something. The more haste you have the more 1% haste is worth.

What he posted the way to calculate the increase to your DPS for haste and acc. It's not high when you consider that adding 50% haste is halving the time needed to do the same amount of damage, which in essence is doubling your melee DPS. Going from 0% to 50% Haste is a 100% melee DPS increase.

Oh, I misread that. I read it as you had 20% and added 10, and got a 28% increase. So to compare 90% hitrate with 19% haste, and I have 5% or 10 Acc and 3% haste I'd do

95/90= 5.56%
and
2/(100-22)= 2.56%

Am I right?

I was comparing 2 pieces. 5% vs 3%, so I should only have to put 2/78 I thought, since it is only 2% more haste than the other helm.

Acc and haste together would be a bit diff. I'll use byakko's for an example.


7% hitrate and 5% haste. Let's say we have 88% hitrate and 75% haste

95/88 = 7.954% increase
5/(100-80) = 5/20 = 25% increase.

If we're looking at total increase then you multiply these 2 numbers together.


1.25 x 1.07954 = 34.94% increase
