Will a critical counter 1shot a chigoe? Going to try counterstance killing lots at once with a healer for 500 vermin trial if not.

since my thread on this subject was inexplicably closed i guess i have to ask it again here, which is probably futile:
does anyone livestream their FFXI?
Yes, some people do.
Just go to youtube and look up ffxi videos on the new content.
I guess SE rly tryin to make footwork happen. Poise shoes just been discovered at 35 DMG, latent of 5% haste active w/ footwork
Respawn on Promyvion NMs, anyone?
Ok this may be a dumb question, and I've found some answers that don't make sense, which is why I'm asking, so forgive my ignorance and the fact that its too late at night for me to properly comprehend this but:
For Cor giving Corsair's Roll, is there any viable way to ensure or guarantee that myself (the Cor) ALWAYS has Corsair's Roll as an active buff other than rolling a 10 minute 11? It just seems weird not getting as much exp as everyone, and while I can sometimes make sure Cor roll gets on before mobs die, I would imagine this is impossible at merit levels.
So let's say in this example, I was giving Chaos Roll to the melee, Evoker's Roll to the mages, and everyone gets Corsair's Roll.
Thanks in advance.
How would I figure out the trade off between Haste and Store TP (X-hit builds)? I want to compare gains of certain values of haste versus gains from X-hit builds.
Edit: For DRG (Just so you know TP:WS)
Simply x/y to compare ws damage increase of xhit builds, but that doesn't account for meditate, not wsing immediately at 100% (whether because DA proc on the last hit, the mob is about to die, or simply not paying attention), wasted damage from ws overkills (which is much less significant for normal hits), etc.
Sounds like COR kind of get the raw end of the deal in merit parties then? Or is it not really that much EXP when it comes down to it. I would imagine in merit parties it would be close to impossible to plan Cor roll. Am I right, by the way, in thinking that Cor roll is one of the rolls given in merit parties? I seem to recall the Cors in my parties doing that.
Eh, it's not really that big a deal. You've still got it up 4/5 of the time, and the bonus isn't that big. It adds up over time, sure, but in the end, it's hardly worth crying over. And yes, you should basically always use cor roll for exp/merits.
Not sure why it would be hard to plan out in merit pts. Start with evoker's on the mage(s), then corsair's roll, followed by your dd roll. That way you'll have cor roll+dd roll on yourself for 4/5 mins, with cor+dd rolls on for 4 mins, followed by dd+evoker's for one, then back to cor+dd rolls.
Vegetto, can you post where you finished the trials/where you think is the best place for your 2-3 MNK weapon? Looks like I'm gonna have to get one.
I did my 400 lizzies in kuftal, 300 puks in wajoam puk exp camp, 500 vermin g7 same zone. 600 birds leypoint/meripo mix, 400 gnoles in batal S, 600 undead necropolis, 450 apkallu arrapago reef (Can solo fine at first, most likely will need help like I did once you build hate)
Could try doing some of those in Abyssea, provided you have the people who need the trials to do it.
Okay... I've been hearing about people leveling BLM in MMM, and... I'm interested, but I have no idea what set up they're going with, what levels, syncs, anything. Could anyone give me some info on this, anything would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.
Wait, what?
Haste improvements can be found with (1-oldhaste)/(1-newhaste), as i'm sure raen knows. I hope you just typod/remembered that wrong? Going from 60->70% haste would return -233% with that formula.
Max possible benefit can be found with x/y*(wsdamage%). This number will be overestimated, and never completely accurate. Factors that would effect this are meditate, and not wsing right at 100% (like i mentioned before, because of DAing the last hit before 100% tp, a mob being too close to dying for it to be worth wsing, or because lack of attention). Trying to quantify it any further is not something i'm willing to do, especially at 5am.I'm not sure what to do about sTP since its benefits should vary by TP:WS and I'm unsure what that is for DRG (PS3/Cannot Parse).
It's inherited from the parents, so get two cards from the colour you want, breed them and cross your fingers. It can take a few tries to get the right colour. If you can't find two of the same colour, your best bet is to find two people with birds that can produce the colour you want, have them do kamp kweh every day for a week and see what colours of kids they get from the mating compatibility option. If they can get the right colour, get cards from them to do the mating for real.
