Have serpentes cuffs/sabots been found yet?
Does the first hit of KJ and RR get an attack bonus? I always seem to do less when I miss the first hit but land 3 more than I do when I land the initial 3. Also if so is it known how much these attack bonuses are?
Full Haste, sans boots. Reserve feet slot for DMG+.
With a 464 Delay (And Store TP+5) GKT being the new weapon of choice at 80 (Correct me if I'm wrong) has the math been done on 5 hit or 6 hit with Sword Strap versus a normal gear setup?
The 6 hit sword strap I came up with is: http://www.ffxiah.com/item_sets.php?id=165294
Almost 450 accuracy with Pizza+1, /drg, Hasso. 25% Haste. 6 Hit. Sword strap.
I haven't looked into 5 Hits with it but I assume someone else has?
The correct answer is full haste, including boots

How much HP does Lugarhoo have? Trying to see if possible to kite/chi in the 90 mins time limit given. Does it have movement speed ect. Would prefer not to have to buy these, my poise shoes, lol
I went over this briefly in what's better, but to keep (almost max.. usu boots are -1) haste you'd need usu body/white tath/rose grip/usu boots/5stp haste belt that hasnt been found yet and also keep all that stp gear on or equivalent for ws too. It doesn't look very feasible without giving up haste or ws options (or both) so it'd be a matter of the % gains from 5 hit vs haste and other stats lost to get there. (ammo slot, 1% haste on feet, damage from losing STR on ws fitting store tp pieces in) That assumes you have all that gear to begin with, usu body being kind of hard to assume. (and askar body or hachi hands being even more losses.)
I'm not getting the feeling that it'd be very much gain if any, someone who wants to math it out can fill in the details.
I just finished 79 in Attohwa Chasm, killing scorpions and flies on the west side near the tunnel. Watch out for the NM, but otherwise lots of spawns (kept up with the kill rate of two mnks) and fairly easy to kill. I subbed /blm because nothing aside from Chakra was needed for healing.Best place for magian trial 79 solo? I was thinking the beetles in Garlaige Citadel.
From another general question:
For birds (trial 80) there's also marsh murres near Nashmau, fairly easy. Subbed dnc since I'm 80 now and can abuse Reverse Flourish

My parse of the run showed it at 27.5k HP. With 1k+ chi blasts, it's possible within 90 minutes. Be a tight fit. May want to use the 120 minute trick.Originally Posted by Cream Soda
Anyway, for kiting, you'd need to pull it fairly far away. You have a fairly small region that's agro free between the gnoles and the clionids (or was it the puks? can't remember which was at our back when we spawned it, I don't remember the orientation on the map; either way, lots of agro), both of which will agro you. The area up near conflux #5 was fairly open though; lots of trees.
We only pulled it a short way, but it didn't seem to move abnormally fast, so movement speed-wise may be doable, if you can drag it away from the spawn point and find a working kite area. Oh, and the gnoles do -not- appear to link with the NM. We had a few wander over to us, and it took them a while to see someone and agro, but none seemed to link with the NM.
what's the 120 min trick?
How much impact do seasons have on weather in FFXI?
Spent a couple of hours in Boyahda, lightning weather never showed up. Moved to Pashhow, found lightning weather. Killed a target enemy, but weather despawned before I killed it.
Waited ~20-30 minutes, lightning came back. Killed one mob, but weather changed to rain immediately after. Waited another 20 minutes, weather changed back to lightning - killed one mob and got another to low HP, and it switched back to rain again...
I got frustrated and left.
(FWIW, trial is 50 Goobbues during either Thunder, Fire, Wind or Light weather. It sounds like a really easy trial, but I'm just not getting the weather for it. I dread the upcoming fire weather based ones...)
FFXI has seasons? Or are you just trolling >.>
FFXI seriously does have seasons. Look at the spawn conditions on Noble Mold at some point. There's a very definite rainy season in Zi'Tah, among other places, and snow weather only appears in winter in Batallia Downs.
whats the time limit on walk of echos
also more discussing ff seasons cuz that sounds interestin
There's a cap of 120 minutes for your time in Abyssea, however you can't get it all at once. If you go in and trade a single stone for 30 minutes, then leave, go back to Jeuno and refill back up to 3 stones, then re-enter (have to wait an hour, I believe), you can add an additional 90 minutes to your visitant status for 120 minutes total. (can of course do any combination of stones/time per entry, not just 1+3)Originally Posted by Cream Soda
Oh, addendum on the kite attempt; see if you can get at least a smn to help you out, since avatar blood pacts aren't affected by the intimidation, and won't be a huge hate issue. Carby's Holy Mist apparently does very good damage to the gnoles in general, though the smn with us didn't mess with the other avatars, so don't know how it does compared to the rest.
Alright. I hope he doesn't resist chi dmg or anything that'd suck. How often to the pop items drop? that'd subtract from my time in, unless they're common enough to where someone would sell me one for cheap
Most pop items drop like candy, maybe every 5-10 mobs. If you were to buy the pop item is should be fairly cheap. We got ours from the first gnole kill, if I remember correctly.
The regular mobs have 6k-7k HP, but aren't terribly difficult; not sure I'd want to try soloing them, though, and I doubt you'd have time to do both that and solo the boss.
Also, probably want to go with a random pickup group first to pick up some cruor so you can activate the confluxes (just kill a bunch of mobs for a session). #1 (the one at the very start) costs 50 to activate; #5 (the one right next to the gnoles) costs 250 to activate; after that it costs 125 to warp directly to #5, and would cost 0 to warp back to #1.
