What's the best non-OAT, non-Chicken H2H to work towards via magians?
Probably the STR+6 Taipan Fangs.
Where's a place with frequent dark weather and beast family mobs?
Can someone explain to me why I just averaged 65% slugshot ACC(85 hits/44 Misses). Using a martial gun, 269 skill, +46 R.acc, +48 R.acc trait, 87 AGI. Should have been parsing around 95%.
I can only assume I got screwed over by statistics?
question got lost so bumping it...
how does full perle set compare to other options for DRG?
Read the last 2-3 pages of whats better. Its been discussed many times on different jobs.
I think the only place is Caedarva Mire on Sheep. If you're doing SMN Dark perp staff, then wait till darksday and do tigers+rabbits in Ul.Range.Where's a place with frequent dark weather and beast family mobs?
And thanks greg, I'll see if I can play around with them curling up.
I need some help brainstorming for a new idea Im writing up and sending to SE
Basically its kind of like blue magic for dancer, except instead of MP it consumes TP to perform physical attacks that either A: do high damage attacks or B: Do low to zero damage attacks with potent eneffects like stun poison etc
Unlike blu however, these dances, which I've nicknamed Dynes alla FF9 (Trance and all etc etc), are not learned by seeing the move once and defeating your opponent. Instead you must "observe" the attack a set number of times until you learn it.
There are 2 types of ways to "observe" the attack, observing, in which you simply need to be on the hate list when the move is performed. This is for AoE attacks, self buffing moves mobs use, or just easier and weaker Dynes.
The other type is surviving the move. You need to actually be the one taking the move to the face AND SURVIVE it to have it count.
I have a few atm, I'll post them and a template. I'd really appreciate any help with braisntorming. Id like to get at least 20 or so moves on my write up before I try mailing it to SE.
The write up at the moment is close to done and a little over two pages.
Here's a few I have:
Critical Plunge: ★★★★☆
Performs a low accurate physical attack with a dramatically high chance of performing critical damage and stunning the opponent.
Requirement:
Survive 100 throat stabs from Tonberries
Feathered Guard ★☆☆☆☆
Grants you temporary invulnerability to having your TP drained
Requirement:
Observe 300 Feather Tickles
Dark Slash ★★★☆☆
Performs an attack with low accuracy that blinds opponent
Cost: 30 TP
Requirement:
Observe 100 Black Clouds
Rapid Fire ★★☆☆☆
Performs 5 highly accurate attacks in quick succession, lowers opponents accuracy
cost: 50 TP
Requirement:
Observe 100 Slipstreams
Move Name: ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆
Description:
Cost:
Requirement:
Any assistance is greatly appreciated! :D
Best place to solo plantoid types for Trial 652?
SAM/DNC btw.
Thanks for the advice on mire, but unfortunately no weather popped.
Any of the common families/mobs are ten thousand times easier to do in the starting zones, which it took me 12 minutes to do the 50 any mobs then I got about 13 minutes and killed 38 bunnies outside of windy before the day changed. Was hoping I could just kill a quick dozen mobs elsewhere, but no luck with weather so just going to wait til next darksday.
So far my first pair trials for the H2H wep took roughly 3 hours and then second pair trials took 15 minutes...kind of a bitch.
The main reasoning behind this is Dancer's biggest flaw in trying to fill the offensive niche is our prime supply of damage stems from weaponskills.
Thing is, to make any use of our weaponskilling dances, wild flourish etc, we have to first off, consume all our tp, and secondly freeze our flourishes for 20~30 seconds. Because of this after weaponskilling there's a short 10 second or so period while we try and regain our lost TP that leaves us unable to assist the party.
Ive had many times where everything looks good so I spend my tp to weaponskill and take a chunk out of the enemies HP, only to have it damn near kill the tank and I am now unable to help because I spent all of my TP on the weaponskill.
I'd like a way for us to perform attacks that are offensive like other damage dealers, primarily blue mage as both jobs have a lot in common, without completely reducing myself to utter uselessness for 10 seconds after the weaponskill. Thus: Dynes
Dynes would allow a dancer to perform hard hitting attacks, like a blu, without consuming all our TP in one shot. thus we could hit the mob decently hard like a weaponskill, but still have tp left over for emergency cures.
Sekkanoki kind of helps solve the issue, but thats only every 5 minutes and requires 200 tp at least.
Soloing raffelsia is pretty easy in Fort Karugo, and one day a week, you have a swarm of rdms and plds who rush in to do their trial which would help.
If your main hand has Store TP+X augment, will it affect your offhand swings, like Acc+ or attk+ would, or will it only affect your main hand like critical hit or addtl effect do.
With an attacks 2-3 times offhand, might the storeTP+ katana might be more useful than the mozu+8 if it applies to offhand hits?
Any big gear or philosophical changes I need to consider now that I'm offhanding 2-3 attack weapon?
Was there ever confirmation of dnc getting accuracy bonus 3 at 80?
Actually, do you guys think its actually post worthy if I just post a topic here in advanced, including my huge epic write up and explaining I need help in brainstorming a few more Dynes before I send it off to SE, and maybe a few pointers on if anything seems too hard / too broken? I think it all looks pretty balanced.
Trying to avoid making any more stupid topics no one wants, but Im not sure if this whole thing is small enough to fit into random questions...
