What I would love to see is the geographical birth rate data for the US with a overlay of wow subscriptions. I wouldn't be shocked if wow was responsible for a notable decline in births the first couple years after it's release.

Makes more sense?
obligatory wiki quote. The unit was widely adopted to measure the output of piston engines, turbines, electric motors, and other machinery.

And really:

My point. It is that arbitrary unit of measure that has made its way down through the centuries and now appears on your car, your lawn mower, your chain saw and even in some cases your vacuum cleaner.
Watts stem from kilograms, which are equally arbitrary. The real question is, is the plural horsepower or horsespower?
Horsepower for both.
Watts is just a measure of raw energy throughput, horsepower is traditionally used on vehicles to measure the approximate strength capacity of the engine. While yes they're both valid measures, horsepower makes a bit more sense when you're trying to look at exactly what kind of force can be applied to this device.
