Something stopping me form opening Playonline Viewer.

Like the title says, every time I try to open up Playonline via Windower or the regular launcher I get an error: "PlayOnline Viewer has encounter a problem and needs to close." blah blah, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the disk twice already and I still get the same error, any ideas people?

Check event viewer to see whats actually causing the crash.

Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Click Performance and Maintenance, then click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management. In the console tree, click Event Viewer. Click applications and look for a red X that says POL or Playonline viewer. Paste the details here.

Faulting application pol.exe, version 1.15.2.0, faulting module pol.exe, version 1.15.2.0, fault address 0x00007776.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Thats what comes up when I click on the most recent error message in the event viewer

Hmm, try uninstalling POL and using this one instead, you shouldnt have to reinstall FFXI completely, just playonline:

Playonline was infected by Square Enix trojans which detected you typing the words "I'm quitting the game" so many times that it went ahead and deactivated POL for you, obviously.

Maybe it'd be a good idea to mention that this started happening after the power cord got unplugged from the tower?

Last thing I can think of is make sure when you uninstall POL it doesnt leave any files behind in the POL folder.
