Tweaked a bit more, tightened my RAM timings and upped my clock to 3.89Ghz...score hardly changed though. Not that I wasn't expecting it, knew I was GPU bottlenecked to begin with.
Fuuuuu, when are the Fermi revisions going to come out Nvidia?!!?

did these on my asus G73JH
1.60-2.80GHz Intel® Core™ i7-720QM
8 gb ram
ATI Mobility Radeon HD5870

It already supports multi-cores really well.

Low
Spoiler: show
Tried to get a screencap of High but it runs higher than my monitors resolution and it blacks out when I try to move it about.
Dual Displays, not cards.
Only get about 1100 on High anyway.
That's what I heard too...but I'm not too keen on the whole dual gpu on one PCB solution anymore. After a pair of ATI X2s and my current 9800GX2, I think I'll be reverting back to a single GPU solution, and just spend more cash on the CPU. Which would be the way to go for XIV it seems.
i got 3765 score
specs:
i7 930 @2.8
6gb ddr3 ram
480 gtx
do i have a low score for such specs ?
Not well enough imo!
(this is while running ffxiv on high)

I'm sure the fps will go up if it was working like.. this though!
Second run for me on low quality with one of my video cards removed:
Spoiler: show
7328 vs 7818, no settings changed except for not being crossfire.
I don't think I'll get it higher though without sacrificing quality or doing registry tweaks - not that it should still be a question, but by looking at Soap's results vs mine you clearly see how CPU matters for the low side testing.
I think you two are just about ready for a hardware upgrade. Under 9000 is unacceptable.
Spoiler: show
I run the alpha fine so I was surprised to see the score so low, even though my comp isn't anything that flash.
Has someone postet this already?
[8000 and over] Extremely High Performance
Easily capable of running the game on the highest settings.
[5500–7999] Very High Performance
Easily capable of running the game. Should perform exceptionally well, even at higher resolutions.
[4500-5499] High Performance
Easily capable of running the game. Should perform well, even at higher resolutions.
[3000-4499] Fairly High Performance
Capable of running the game on default settings. Consider switching to a higher resolution depending on performance.
[2500-2999] Standard Performance
Capable of running the game on default settings.
[2000-2499] Slightly Low Performance
Capable of running the game, but may experience some slowdown. Adjust settings to improve performance.
[1500-1999] Low Performance
Capable of running the game, but will experience considerable slowdown. Adjusting settings is unlikely to improve performance.
[Under 1500] Insufficient Performance
Does not meet specifications for running the game.
I would like to see this overview in the first post.

Thats the old FFXI one isn't it?
Not sure how accurate that is. My computer plays the alpha just fine but according to your list there my score should mean the game wont even run.
I run the alpha fine too but scored only 1920.
i7 7200m
gtx 260m 1gb vram
4gb ram
laptop tho.. so that may be the reason.
I had to run on low too cos I couldnt see the score in High res at all lol...
edit:
its official
http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/media...a/index.html#3
Tried everything to make it accept SLI but it wont. still shows 1 GTX260 on this rig after the test.
i think its pretty harsh too
i would run XIV and XI concurrently with photoshop CS4 in the background and its usually at the (alpha's) capped FPS... and smooth..
then again Alpha settings are toned down, but if you can run that, im pretty sure you can run the actual game..
Am thinking i might need to tweak settings to optimize for it, or it may just be that the benchmark doesn't assess laptops quite as good
Well, we do know the beta will be getting a nice visual upgrade from alpha...that could kill some peoples playing experience. It shouldn't be that drastic though, but we'll have to wait and see.
