Just seeing all these changes now very odd.

I dont think the previous owner had set these timings differently, the machine is only 3 months old but im going to double check with him.

I might try the EVGA Eleet to see what that says. Didnt even realise that the CPU has been over clocked.

Wow. I scored 3700 on my X3 720 Triple Core/GTX460 and almost has as good of a load time with my slow ass HDD. D: Yeah, something's gotta be wrong for sure.

Also, my Windows Rating is terrible due to my HDD. Gives me a 5.9 rofl.

The RAM voltage looks WAY too high if VRAM is correct, it's rated at 1.65V (How is this considered low voltage?).

Although those speedfan readings are a bit weird, Vcore is closer to actual core voltage (it's different in CPU-Z and SF for you) on my PC.

Set your CPU Multiplier to x20 (or x21). I underclocked mine on accident when I used the BIOS to default back to normal settings and it made the CPU Multiplier to x9! (x20 is the normal multiplier)

I didnt build this machine myself. Im waiting to hear back from the original owner to find out if he has changed anything overclock wise

I bought it from a Graphic Design company that recently went bust. The machine is 3 months old and i have all the invoices for the purchases etc.

@Oreth: that's normal, your CPU underclocked itself because it isn't being used (lowers temps and power usage).

@Katlan: CF Has native support, but doesn't working 100% (generally ppl are finding that their GPUs are only at 50% usage, meaning they get lower performance than with single card). Not sure about SLI.

Ok so then the higher score of 3+ghz does that mean as it is my CPU is actually over clocked? and based on the multiplyer its overclocked wrongly?

Is there a bios 'reset to factory default' option that would get me back to normal with my CPU & RAM? Im really over my head on all this.

There should be one actually, enter the BIOS (Del, Tab, F# depending on MB, should say during startup).

There then should be a Default or Optimised default option on the front menu.

(I think the multipler is due to a certain option being turned off, allowing you to set it to x21 instead of allowing it to go x12 <> x20, when I tried that/something similar it produced an unstable OC though)

After resetting to defaults and restarting PC, enter the BIOS again and go into 'PC Healt Status' and check to see that CPU/DIMM volts arn't too high (default is 1.12 for CPU and 1.5 or 1.65 for DIMM (This cannot go over 1.65V, it is also rated at 1.65V according to OCZs site)).

Also when you boot into windows check to see that your timings are correct (CPU-Z, Memory tab)

Ok well just eyeballing the Core & Multiplyer seem to be changing when in use and not in use as mentioned. Underclocking to retain power etc. The mutliplyer dropping to 12x when not in use and 21x when in use.

The core while in use goes up to 3.3 mhz does that mean its over clocked or thats just the i7 overclocking within reason itself like it does when it underclocks?

I dont really want to go through this BIOS change unless you tink its necessary? Does the RAM look way wrong either way?

I don't think it's the CPU OCing itself (turbo tech). The specs listed are the same/similar to Dummy O.C. feature that your BIOS has. And yes your RAM is way off (6-6-6-6-18 instead of 8-8-8-8-24).

It should be ok to just go into BIOS and reset it, doesn't take much. Or at least try to change RAM timing.

Also, Freq/Volt Control > Volt Control and make sure DIMM is 1.65V
